Aly's face was grim as she put her hands together. She put her face in between her clasped hands and wetted her lips. She felt as though the mission had failed. Now Rylie is annoyed that she couldn't rescue the poor woman taken by the Were-witches. They followed the were-witches trail but failed to locate where it was because they cloaked themselves and their locations with sigils and wards.

"Anything on Lina?" Aly asked Kelly and Nathan.

The two both looked at each other and shook their heads.

"How about your mission with Rylie?" Hunter jerked his head up and stirred his cup of coffee.

They all looked like they hadn't slept in days. Hunter had a bag of circles under his eyes, and Kelly's hair was messed up, and it looked like it hadn't been combed for a couple of days. There is silence all around them as the werewolves inside their pack are not really going out much. They are gripped with fear because of what the were-witches were doing.

Aly bit her lip. What should she say? They knew that the red vial was now re-created by the were-witches. So it's possible that they destroyed the red vial and the green vial to avoid re-creation by the werewolves.

Rylie hadn't spoken to her after they let the young woman be taken away. Aly knew she was doing the right thing, but Rylie must have thought she was a heartless asshole for letting that happen.

But they would compromise the mission; worse, Rylie would be captured if she let Rylie fight those were-witches. Rylie still can't control her Lobo form, and two against five were-witches is not a match but a bloodbath.

Aly sighed. "Just tell me what happened to your mission. Have you tailed Lina? Where did she go? What are they doing inside their mansion?"

"Whoa! I'll answer the question one by one." Hunter put out his hands and then put them down when Aly put up her hands as if she was about to punch Hunter. "Yes, we tailed Lina. She was gathering herbs for her potions; sometimes, she'd just spend time inside the mansion. The witches from Lina's coven are not going out much. Just like their leader. They don't go out much. I guess Lina's coven is not the type of social witch."

Kelly shrugged her shoulders when Aly looked at her.

"It's true. They are not doing anything."

Aly's eyebrows knitted. "Then how did you two be able to guard them 24/7?"

"We switch whenever the other needs to sleep," Kelly answered.

Aly stood up and looked at Hunter and Kelly. "Alright. I'll leave you two alone. I'll just go to Rylie's campus and pretend to be a student."

Kelly saluted, and Hunter just smirked at her.

"You didn't answer our questions, and you're just gonna leave us hanging?" Hunter said.

Aly shook her head, smiling. "I'm not gonna tell you any details."

Just before Hunter could say anything again, Aly took off running and transformed into her werewolf from midair.

She heard Hunter and Kelly's laughter just as she left the pack's location. Again Aly shook her head. Her friends can still laugh and make jokes at each other. But she knew they were just trying to lighten the whole situation. The whole were-witch thing makes them anxious, and the supernatural world has to stay hidden, or they risk being extinct.

She believed that the werewolves couldn't and wouldn't fight humans. They are peaceful creatures, and killing humans is against nature's law. Their ancestors forbade them to do such a thing. Supernaturals exist to protect nature, and anything that contradicts the law of nature is an enemy.
