Rylie looked at her notebook, and a piece of paper fell. Her eyebrows immediately furrowed. She crouched down and took the piece of paper.
It was Kelly's handwriting.
A gasp came out of her mouth when she saw what was written on the paper.
'Don't tell anyone, and don't talk to me about this. Someone can read my mind and see through my eyes. This someone doesn't have her name written on this paper because she also put a binding spell on me. Remember Hunter's suggestion that someone wants Alpha Gab's blood and---
Rylie put a hand to her mouth. Is Kelly talking about the heretic witch? But how can she write this if the witch can see through her eyes? Or maybe that's why some words are not readable? She can barely make the words out.
She reads on.
'And....you can't tell anyone. Or she'll have my baby Jesseth killed. I am just doing her bidding because of my kid. But I swear I don't want to betray the pack. You are all like a family to me.'
Rylie balled her hands into a fist. This is a long letter from Kelly, and it shows that she was willing to tell anyone about this, but why her?
'You must be wondering why I entrusted this to you. I believe that you can help me. If I went to Alpha Gab, she'd have rage and would likely blow my cover-up. The witches had a coven of heretics and were powerful beyond measure. We just fought with the were-witches, and I don't want to cause any more trouble. Help me with my plan. Let's foil Nora's evil scheme.'
Rylie reads the letter from Kelly again. That was why she was worried about the Light moon pack, and Aly was right. She doesn't need to become like the were-witches to stop them from killing the packs of werewolves. She needed to get stronger, and Kelly shared the information on it.
'I want to share the secret of the Lobo form with you. The witch trained me, and that was the second mistake she made. The number one is to target me and make me her lackey."
She couldn't help but shake her head. The first time she met Kelly, she thought that would be the same thing Kelly would have said to anyone who challenged her. Kelly is a strong woman for overcoming those things, and Rylie admires her. But even though she wants to lash out at Kelly, she can't perfectly understand where the latter is coming from.
If she could also choose between someone she loved and others. It would be the person that matters to her.
'It has taken me years to master my Lobo form, but I believe you can do it in months. You are a future Luna, after all.'
She smiled. Kelly's letter is long, but she made sure to put more details that she could muster.
'The first step is to go inside yourself and confront the Lobo form. Remember the first time you blacked out? You must fight it like your wolves, but the Lobo form cannot be subdued once. You have to subdue it once a month, and when you can subdue it and have control over it. If you stop this practice, it will try to take over. It has powers beyond what you can imagine but also its side effects. The more you use it, the more it takes away your humanity."
She bit her lip.
She doesn't want to let Aly know because of this specific reason. The last time they had a conversation about the effects of power on someone. Power corruption is one thing that Aly doesn't want to deal with. So how would she say to Aly that the best thing they have against the were-witches and Nora, the heretic, could also corrupt her?
But she had no choice. Rylie looked up and saw the full moon on the horizon.
Moon Goddess if you are there. Please guide me and protect me.
