"You looked cute." Rylie raised her eyebrow and looked at Aly up and down.
She let the latter borrow some of her clothes and damn it looked good on Aly.
While on hers, it just looked plain and boring. How did Aly managed to look so good in her clothes? It's unfair!
"Thanks, Ry."
"So why aren't you dressed up yet?" Aly looked at her.
After they fell asleep last night cuddling each other. Rylie thought that she would use this day to try and fight her Lobo form again. She'll take the chance that Aly will go on a mission while she does her own mission too.
"I figured I'll try the pseudo-moon today. See how effective it can get."
She scratched her head and looked away.
Aly stared at her and narrowed her eyes. Rylie smiled. Just act innocent and maybe she'll get you off the hook.
Her mate sighed. "Alright. Just don't exhaust yourself. I'll see you later."
Rylie made a cheeky smile when Aly kissed her forehead then her lips. Heat immediately creeped up on her ears. Aly can really be sweet and it's too much for her sometimes.
"Rylie?" She heard a knock on the door and both of them looked at it. It was her mother.
"Y-Yes mom?"
"Are you ready to get to school?"
Rylie bit her lip. Should she tell her mother that she won't get to school today? She'll surely throw a fit. Her grades are high and her mother doesn't want her to tarnish her records. Shit.
Aly looked at her. "You should tell her."
"Rylie?"
She closed her eyes for a moment and went towards the door to open it. Her mother looked at her up and down. Then Mrs. Scott's forehead scrunched together, noticing her pajama.
"Why aren't you dressed?"
Rylie scratched her head. "Mom. I'm not going to school today. I-I feel sick."
A concern immediately flashed in her mom's eyes. Natasha caress her forehead and her eyes widens before slapping Rylie's arms.
She winced and rubbed her arms. "Mom!" She looked at Aly and her mate laughed on the side so she glared at her too.
Aly stopped laughing but there's still a smile on her face.
"Why wouldn't you go to school, huh?" her mother glared again. "What's more important than your school?"
"I'm going to train my werewolf form. This is more important alright? I want to stop the killings. I can't just stand by."
Her mother looked at her and sighed. "Just do it when it's weekends. Why can't it wait?"
Rylie messed her hair up. She can't really win against her mom. "Alright. I'll change so can you leave us alone."
Her mother smiled and scoff at her. "If your father is here. He won't allow you to skip class. Change quickly."
Her eyes dulled. If only her mother knew. Rylie closed the door when her mother walked down the stairs. She leaned on the door and cast her head down.
"Rylie..."
"I know." Rylie looked at Aly. "I'll get changed."
------
Aly looked at her but Rylie's mood immediately plummeted down. She can't tell her mother what happened and explain to her why she has to trained her werewolf. She knew that her mother will be very disappointed.
