She fell down on the ground when the witches overpowered her. She's so exhausted as she lays there panting, trying to catch her breath. Everything is a blur as she sees her pack members fight for their own life.

It's still a good thing that Rylie and Aly were able to escape. If they could get help, She's sure that they will be rescued in time. She just needed to hold out for a little while until the help could arrive.

"Bind their hands tightly!" A figure loomed over her and commanded the other witches. She felt her eyes closed on their own accord. She's so exhausted fighting the figure that seems to oversee the whole coven of witches.

Her wounds hurt badly. She gripped her sides.

She got dizzy when she saw her hands with blood, and she peeked at her sides and saw the open wound gushed up blood.

"Get up!"

Gab was forced to be on her side when someone yanked her arms. She winced. The witch doesn't care if he presses on her wound.

She gritted her teeth to stop herself from screaming. The witch that grabbed her was not the leader. But he was big, so he just yanked her effortlessly up.

He was walking away from her and overseeing the carnage, and taking her people away.

"W-Wait..."

"What is it, dog?" The leader of the coven snarled at her. "Begging for mercy already?"

Gab smirked, though her lips cracked and hurt. She gathered all the saliva pooling in her mouth.

"C-Come closer......"

"What did you say?"

She intentionally made her voice sound like a whisper so that he would come closer and when he did. Gab spitted the saliva in his face. She wasn't afraid if he decided that he would kill her.

He recoiled back, swiped her saliva from his chin, and smacked her on the head.

Gab's face was turned to the side abruptly. The sound echoed in the entire forest. And she felt her left cheek stings and throb. She bit her lip hard because her visions started blurring. Maybe because she was tired, and he smacked her on the head. She felt her eyelids closed on their own accord.

She felt her body lifted on the ground, and her visions blurred as she saw piles of a corpse on the ground. Their blood gushed, and the witches took a vial to put the blood of the dead wolves on it.

No.... No......

Gab reached out her hands to try and stop them, but she was so weak. Her hands just fell on her sides.

She hoped that Rylie and Aly would be able to get help on time to rescue them.

--------------------

Gab gasped as soon as she felt a coldness wash over her whole body. She kicked her feet and looked around. Then her hands hit a steel bar. Her eyes widened when she took a look around. She's inside a shack.

And there were heads sticking on a pole. She gasped. If her eyes could get any wider, it should be wide as a saucer as she recognized Carlos's head. It was staked on the center of the room, with its eyes wide open, probably in fear.

She gritted her teeth when realization dawned on her. He was the one who told them the Light moon pack's location. But how? Telling them will instantly kill him because Alpha's words are binding. But it probably wouldn't matter now. He was dead, and there was nothing she could do to kill him even if she tried.

Gab shook her head to get the haze out of her brain. She needs to get out of here, or else she'll end up like him.

She looked at her wound and heaved a sigh of relief when she realized that it was already healed up.

"H-Hey.... Alpha Gab..."

She turned around and was surprised to see Hunter beside her cell. He was gripping the steel bars tightly, and his eyes looked frantic as if in panic.

"Hunter. What happened?"

"T-They took all the kids and the woman. You, I, and all the men are here." Hunter bowed his head down. His voice broke. "I-I couldn't save them.... I'm sorry."

"Hey. Hunter looked at me. We will get out of here and rescue them. We just need a plan."

With what she said, Hunter looked up. His gaze suddenly sharpening and his jaws tightened.

"Rylie and Aly ran like a coward. Why didn't they fight too?" Hunter's voice sounded like he loathed them.

Gab shook her head. "I'm the one who told them to run and get some help from the Raven Crest. We can't defeat them with our forces divided like that, Hunter. You know that."

Hunter is momentarily stunned as the realization hits him. He opened his mouth and closed it again like a fish. "Y-You mean---"

Gab nodded her head. "I commanded them to do it. If everything comes to worse. We might not be able to get out of here alive. The witches had probably set up a magical barrier around here, and stepping out could alert them of us escaping. We need to know where they put the kids and the woman before we could rescue them."

Not to mention that they now need to relocate the pack's location.

She and Hunter looked around the cell they were held in. if they could transform, they might be able to get out, but they still needed to bid their time to find out where they were holding the others. There were other pack members on their own cell, and they were still sleeping soundly.

Wake them up, Hunter.

But Hunter just looked at her as if waiting for her instruction.

Gab glared at him. I said, wake them up!

Hunter scratched his chin. "What is it, Alpha Gab?"

Is the mind link not working? Sh*t. They are really in big trouble!

"The mind link is not working. I-I think transforming is not working too."

Hunter's eyes became wide.

"Try transforming." She instructed him.

He nodded then he closed his eyes. The transformation is not fully completed, and the cell he was in was glowing in yellow. It's a binding spell. She wasn't surprised if it was mixed with wolf's bane.

Hunter grunted and grunted, but Alpha Gab put out her hands. "Stop... it's not working. You will just exhaust yourself."

Witches are really a pain in the ass. Why did their ancestors try to fight them?

She groaned. Breaking out of this cell will probably take a lot of their time if it is really injected with the wolf's bane. Their transformation will likely become half-assed.

Gab lifted her head and looked around. She needs to study the shack they were in and find where are the possible exits. The only way out is a door that doesn't look sturdy, but she bet that the witches put something on it again to stop their escape. They are brilliant and might have planned out what escape route they would take.

"Hunter. Wake up the others. I'll think of a plan to escape this place."

Hunter did what she told him. He rattled the steels bars, and the other pack members woke up. They all looked around, and fears started showing on their faces, but when they saw her. They became relaxed, but still, Gab knew they were afraid. They clearly looked lost, and she could see it in their eyes.

They all looked at her expectantly.

"I need all of you to calm down. I will think of a way to get out."

They all nodded their heads, and Gab looked at the only exit she could find. The door of the shack and how they could get out started to form in her mind. If they can't use their magic and their brute strength. They need a weapon, and the only way they can get it is at the center and the sides of the room.

She was thinking about the stake Carlos's head was in.

They just have to outsmart the witches.
