(Aly's POV)
Shit! Shit! Shit!
Aly muttered to herself while covering her nose with her hands. She can still smell Rylie's arousal from where she is. Her wolf senses are kicking in. To just take what is hers and possess it, but she knew her human side doesn't want to do it.
Rylie needs to make a choice before the mating period began. She can't take her now, even though Rylie wants it. Alpha Gab will indeed have her head if she touches Rylie in an un-appropriate way.
Mate!
'N-No...'
Aly shook her head. She needs to battle her wolf again for control.
"Oh, Goddess!"
Aly puts a hand to her beating heart. She sweats furiously as she held the door knob with her right hand. She needs to clear her mind first, and the first step is taking a freezing shower! She quickly went inside the cabin.
She took an icy shower and went out of the comfort room but was stunned when she saw Rylie inside the cabin. Aly almost lost it. She quickly looked away and pretended to casually dry her hair with the towel.
"W-What are you doing here, Rylie?"
"W-Well. W-Why did you suddenly walked out?"
"I-I'm sorry. It's just that----"What should Aly say? Rylie doesn't know that Werewolf can smell desires and fear, is she? Should she tell Rylie the truth?
Rylie looked at her and waited for her answer, and Aly sighed.
"W-Well.... Werewolf kinda knows when someone is feeling desires or fear."
"W-What?" Rylie's eyes widened before she put a hand to her mouth and looked away.
Aly can't help the smile that went to her lips. Rylie is cute when she's like this, and Aly kinda likes it.
"S-So you mean-----you----you---knew that I---"
Aly slowly nodded. "Yes."
"Oh my God! This is embarrassing!" Rylie quickly went out of the door, and Aly shook her head, smiling.
------------------
Aly quickly dressed and went out of her cabin to check on where Rylie went, but the latter is nowhere to be seen.
She took a peak towards the shack they held the rogue wolf in. It seems that Hunter settled the girl in his house. The shed is already empty. She was about to turn back when she saw Alpha Gab.
Aly clenched her jaw. Her wolf was straining to get out and challenged the Alpha into a duel to claim Rylie, but she stopped herself. She stiffly bowed, and Alpha Gab immediately noticed the tension on her shoulders.
"Aly..."
"Yes, Alpha?"
"Have you seen Rylie?"
Even though Aly doesn't want to tell Alpha Gab where Rylie is, she can't help but do it. Alpha Gab is using her Alpha voice on her.
"Y-Yes. She was at the cabin before, but I don't know where she went."
Alpha Gab smiled and nodded her head. Before walking towards the direction she went.
Aly shook the stiffness on her shoulder and tried to get Rylie's arousal out of her head, but her inner wolf would pace around on her mind every time she did that.
"Ah! Screw it!" Aly put the rake she was using on the ground and walked towards the direction of Reeve's house, where she knew Rylie would be. But she was stopped short when Kelly held her shoulder.
"What are you so frustrated about?"
Aly looked at Kelly, and she knew she can confide in this woman. Aly sat on the makeshift chair she brought with her. They are planting roots and crops to sustain the pack, and Aly took the initiative to help because she had nothing to do but think about Rylie.
"I-It's Rylie. She's my true mate, and Alpha Gab is her second chance mate."
Kelly's eyes almost bulge out of its socket. "W-What? I can't believe this! This possibility is one in a million."
"Yeah."
"And it's our Alpha that you have to fight to get Rylie." Kelly tapped her chin. "What will you do, Aly?"
"I guess I have to give her up." Aly's shoulder slumped. "I don't have a fighting stance against an Alpha."
"But I saw how Rylie looked at you. She likes you too. I think Alpha Gab will understand if Rylie chooses you."
"You don't understand, Kel. Alpha Gab likes Rylie too. You saw how she was amused by Rylie's actions."
Kelly put a hand on her shoulder. "If you don't go for Rylie. Will you just wait for your second chance mate to show up? Alpha Gab can settle for anyone in the pack to be her Luna, but you, my friend. Doesn't have that kind of luxury. I doubt if you want to settle with anyone other than your mate."
"B-But......Rylie is going to fight her inner wolf on the next full moon. I can't confess and throw her momentum off."
"Well... you have to confess when it's over. Promise me?"
Aly nodded and smiled. "Thanks for the pep talk, Kel."
"Go get your girl."
Aly stood up, and Kelly tapped her butt that made her laugh.
Aly quickly went to Reeve's house, and her smile widens when she saw Rylie gets out of the house, only for it to be wiped out as soon as she saw Alpha Gab beside Rylie. The two are talking and laughing with each other before Rylie spotted her.
Rylie's smile became awkward, and Aly can't help but smile. She knew why. Rylie must still be embarrassed by what she said.
"Aly?" Alpha Gab looked at her with a furrowed eyebrow.
"Alpha Gab. I think I need to borrow Rylie. She still needs to learn how to do combat."
Hanna and her husband showed Rylie and Alpha Gab on the front porch and looked at each other before teasingly smiled at Aly. Alpha Gab looked at Rylie, and her eyes softened.
"Rylie. Go on."
"T-Thanks, Alpha."
Rylie made her way towards Aly, and Aly holds out her hand for Rylie to take it. She decided that she will try to show Rylie that she likes her too. It doesn't matter if the Alpha is her rival. She will try to win Rylie no matter what. Kelly is right. She wouldn't get this kind of opportunity. Other werewolves waited for their whole life and didn't find their mate. And she was lucky enough to find Rylie right here.
Aly bowed before the Alpha, and she held Aly's hand tightly. Rylie looked at her with questions in her eyes, but Aly just smiled.
"I'll teach you seriously now. Your battle with your inner wolf is nearing. Next week the full moon will show itself. You have to be prepared."
"Is there something I need to read too?"
Aly stopped in her tracks, and an idea crossed her mind. Rylie has a point. She needs to know what she will face. And Aly knows where to give her the books she needed.
