Aly's POV
Crap! Aly looks behind her. There was nowhere she could go to. Why did Rylie decide to let her wolf take over?
Her eyes became wide when Rylie leaped in her direction.
Rylie! It's me! It's Aly, your true mate!
Her eyes became wide. Rylie started running in her direction. But before she could evade Rylie's assault. Rylie stood there and shook her head. Her long claws poised in mid-air as if she suddenly realized what she was about to do. Then before her very eyes. Rylie transformed back into a human.
Aly puts her head under Rylie's body when her body falls forward.
"A-Aly? W-What did I do?"
Aly exhaled the breath she was holding. So that means when Rylie was knocked out, her wolf took over? They still need so many things to teach Rylie, but they are running out of time. She's not yet ready.
"Did she blacked out for a moment?"
Aly looked at the sound of the voice and was surprised to see Lina there. Apparently, she's back from locating the witches' location.
Aly rolled her eyes as if it was possible for werewolves to roll their eyes in this form. She transformed back into a human and carried Rylie.
Rylie immediately put a hand on her neck and put her head on Aly's shoulders.
Aly saw the look Lina gave Aly, and she showed her teeth to the witch.
Mine!
She wants to get out of there as soon as possible because she doesn't want Lina ogling Rylie's body.
"Must be nice being a werewolf. You found someone worth dying for and fighting for."
Lina crossed her arms and followed her as she walked towards the pack's location. But Aly barely glances in the witch's direction.
"Did you find their location?" She instead asked.
She doesn't get where Lina is coming from. Does she want to be a werewolf? If their status is reversed, she doesn't want to be a werewolf. Witches are a lot more powerful than they are, and werewolves are merely scraping to live by the rules set by nature itself.
"Yeah. I did." Lina said.
"So, where is it?" Aly narrowed her eyes, and Lina laughed.
"You really have a distrust issue, Aly," Lina smirked. "I'll tell them. Just listen later."
Aly wants to wipe that smirk off Lina's face, but she can't because she's carrying Rylie in her arms, and they also need a new set of clothes. She doesn't want to go to the meeting without clothes on.
Lina skipped towards the Alpha's cabin and put a hand out to her. Aly's exchange is a roll of her eyes.
She then proceeded to go towards her own cabin.
Aly sighed and looked at Rylie's face. She promised Rylie that she would go back to her everyday life after training and restraining her werewolf. But it would take a couple of weeks before they could do that. They need to rescue the others, and she can't just leave Rylie alone. She still has some lapses in controlling the beast from within.
If that's the case of them making out of there alive.
"Aly?"
"Yes, Rylie?"
Aly deposited Rylie on the bed and looked through her wardrobe to find a set of clothes. She took out pants and a grey shirt and clothed Rylie with it. It was hard for her not to stare because she wanted to undress Rylie and continue what they did on the Raven Crest cabin.
She shook her head to get out of the haze of lust. She rummaged through her wardrobe and found a black shirt and jogging pants. She wore it and cursed under her breath.
For goodness sake Aly! Get a hold of yourself. This is not the time for romance.
"D-Do you think I am not yet ready to fight with you?"
Rylie's weak voice made Aly look her way. But she quickly looks away because Rylie is just so beautiful that it was hard not to devour her right then and there.
"Rylie. You still have a long way to go reigning the beast within. Just because you could subdue the beast doesn't mean that you have eternal control over it. It's a process, and only in time we werewolves can control it." Aly sighed, sat on the edge of the bed, and caressed Rylie's head. "I-I think you should stay here. Wait until we rescue Alpha Gab and the rest of the pack---"
Rylie suddenly sat on the bed and glared at her.
"I am not a coward, Aly." Rylie averted her gaze. "I'm not gonna sit here and wait for all of you to come back. I did that with my father, and now he is gone forever. I want to do something, and if I fail, then that's on me."
Aly bit her lip. Goosebumps started appearing on her skin. Rylie really did come a long way. A proud smile made its way to her lips. Then it's really not a fault that the Moon Goddess brought Rylie into Aly's arms. The moon goddess is a perfect matchmaker.
"Then it's settled then. We will both fight, but I need you to stay alive no matter what. Ok?"
Rylie nodded her head smiling. And to Aly's surprise. Rylie hugged her tightly.
"After the fight. I will tell you who I will choose between you and Alpha Gab." Rylie looked up, and their eyes met. "I want you to choose me if I choose you first. Got it?"
Aly felt a warmth make its way to her heart. No one chose her before because she had closed her heart. But Rylie was able to open it up just so easily with her sense of humor, sensitivity, understanding, and intelligence.
She nodded her head a lot. Rylie's mouth tugged up in a corner and asked if Aly could capture the moment between them. She wants to treasure it and make it last a lifetime. She doesn't want to let Rylie go.
"Rylie! Aly!"
They both looked out of the window when they heard Lina's voice.
"Let's go! Our meeting will start now."
Rylie and Aly looked at each other and smiled. Aly stood up and offered her hand for Rylie to take it. Rylie reached out her hand and stood up. But before they could get to the door. Rylie kissed her on the cheeks, which made Aly stop for a moment.
Her heart beats fast, and she can't help but smile.
"A good luck kiss for the fight, later. We will never know if I could get one again after."
Aly shook her head. She pinched Rylie's cheek.
"You are a sneaky one, are you?"
Rylie just smiled, reached for the doorknob, and turned it. But she turned towards Aly and said.
"I want to give you a kiss for good luck, and hopefully, it will give you the will to stay alive too."
Rylie walked before she and Aly shook her head, smiling.
She's really an amusing one.
