Kelly looked at Hunter as soon as Aly left. Hunter smiled at her, and he shook his head.
"I'm glad Aly found her mate, but Rylie is a stubborn mate. Maybe that's why she was also fated to be a Luna. She was feisty, and she also protected her pack."
Kelly nodded her head.
Hunter looked at her, and his mouth opened as if he were about to ask her something, but then he closed it again.
Rylie is indeed fated to be a Luna because she has the quality of a Luna. But what Hunter didn't know was that Aly was also an Alpha. She's a beta in this pack, but in the Raven Crest Pack, Aly is the heiress, but she declined the position and chose to be a beta instead.
"Do we have to report to Alpha Gab?" Hunter asked her.
"You should tell her. I just need to be somewhere else."
Hunter furrowed his eyebrows. "Where to?"
Kelly put her left eyebrow up. "Why? Do you want to come? We have been glued to the hips these past few weeks. Do you still want to be with me 24/7? Helga will get jealous, you know."
Hunter stuck his tongue out clearly, offended. "No thanks." He stood up. "I'll check, Helga. Her arms have been aching these past few days. Winter must be near again."
Kelly followed Hunter with her eyes as he turned his back on her. She sighed. Helga's arms are broken when they fight the were-witches and her hands are still in a cast. It's been 1 month already, and they are all still coping with all the mess.
When she was sure that he wasn't following her, she shook her head and walked towards the exit of their pack's location. She went straight to a meadow with red, yellow and blue flowers.
She looked around and closed her eyes. "Kechyo (Witch)."
The whole area seemed to darken when she next opened her eyes. There was also mist covering the whole meadow. The once cherry and lively meadow is replaced with a dark, threatening aura.
"You are learning, Kelly."
Kelly followed Nora's movements with her eyes. Despite Nora's trick. She can now easily see through manipulations and mind games. Nora taught her how to execute her Lobo form perfectly, granting her enough power to match the heretic witch in her trickery.
"We are slowly tricking them. I want you to put this as evidence of Lina's betrayal of the Light Moon pack."
Nora put a green vial and a red vial in her hands.
Kelly gritted her teeth and closed her fingers on the vials. Then she put it inside the pocket of her jacket.
She doesn't have any choice regarding this. She can't fight Nora alone. She just wants her baby back, but Nora is making it hard for her. The Light moon pack had become her people, and it was hard for her to go behind their backs and betray them like that.
Yes, she was the one who took the vials.
"Where is my Jesseth, Nora?"
"Oh. Your baby? She's fast asleep. Don't worry." Nora tapped her shoulders. "Just be a good girl and do what I say, and I'll give her back to you."
Just slit her throat; it would be so easy...
"When will I get her back?!"
Kelly's fangs extended, and she snapped at Nora. Nora's eyes widened, and she took a step back and laughed.
"Easy tiger. Remember who gave you that power? I was the one who made you a Lobo form. Legends among the werewolves. You can't bite the hands that feed you, you know."
Kelly retracted her fangs and closed her eyes tightly. When she opened them next, her eyes fiercely looked at Nora.
Nora smiled at her. "See. We can talk in a civilized manner."
The heretic witch then opens her palms up, showing a misty form of her baby. Jesseth was already 5 years old, and she was sleeping soundly in a hammock. Kelly's eyes softened. Then her eyes started to water. She wants Jesseth to be with her, but Nora holds her captive and makes Kelly her spy among the werewolves.
"How long are you going to hold her?'
She knew that Nora is acquiring power behind everyone's back. That's why she wasn't bothered by all the ruckus in the supernatural world. She wants the world to know that supernaturals exist. She had a coven of heretic witches in her hands. They are at her beck and call. She doesn't know if they are just around her waiting to ambush her if she tries anything.
"I'll give her to you once you complete your mission. For now, don't come here again and make sure you are not being followed."
Then the mist from around her disappeared. A very confused Hunter stared at her across the tree near the pack's trees.
Her eyes widen, but she immediately makes her face go back to normal as soon as Hunter uses his yellow eyes to see from a distance. She smiled at him and waved.
Then she casually walked towards Hunter's way.
"I thought you were going to tend to Helga?"
She walked passed Hunter. Hunter followed her with his dark eyebrows crossed.
"What are you doing there? Isn't that where Nora, the heretic, is rumoured to show herself?"
Hunter followed her, and his tone of voice was raised.
Kelly sighed. What should she say? What excuse could she make?
"I thought it was just an ordinary meadow. I want to be alone for a while and discovered that place long ago."
She couldn't quite look in Hunter's way.
Hunter shrugged his shoulders. "That's really a beautiful meadow. I admit, but if you ever saw a beautiful woman with dark hair and beautiful dark eyes, it's Nora. Ran away, alright?"
After that, Hunter jogged and left her.
Just then, a static buzzing began to invade her mind. She closed her right eye and put her hands on her head. Then a static voice began to speak in her ears.
'Don't let them know that you are working with us. Or your child is dead. You hear me?'
'Yes.' Kelly gritted her teeth.
She just can't get used to Nora's were-witch ability to speak in mind-link or any were-witch.
She fisted her hands until her knuckles were white. Nora had access to her thoughts and eyes, so she couldn't do anything. But if the opportunity presents itself. She'll have other ways to outsmart the witch.
The revenge she planned is already years in the making. Jesseth grew up in Nora's coven and didn't know if her child has been experimented on, but she and Nora made a contract. She wouldn't and couldn't do any experiments on the child as long as Kelly did what she was tasked to do.
For now, she'd grit her teeth and continue the mission and hoped that Rylie had a solution to all their dilemma. The heretic witch knew that Rylie also had access to her Lobo form. It's not fully trained yet. Rylie is missing a piece of vital information that could tip the wild Lobo form in her favour.
