Aly couldn't look in Rylie's eyes as she sat on the window sill of her room.

Rylie is hiding something from her and whatever it is. Her mate is hiding it well. Even with her silent treatment, Rylie's mouth is closed. She just wouldn't budge, making Aly feel like Rylie doesn't trust her that much.

Her eyes narrowed. Whatever it is. It must have been something Rylie couldn't really tell her because she'll get mad or its dangerous.

She sighed. There's no point in convincing Rylie to tell her.

"If you are wondering. I need to capture 2 were-witches for Nora's experiment. All the pack's warriors will help me."

Rylie opened her mouth. "C-Can I come?"

She wetted her lips. Now Rylie wants to come?

Aly shook her head. "Not until you tell me what secrets you are keeping."

She knew she was cruel when she said that, but she doesn't like secrets. Secrets are a sure way to betray someone. Even if they were mates and she trust Rylie. She doesn't want to take any chances. She did with Nora and look where it got her. She'll never make the same mistake again.

"Aly I—"

Aly hardly shakes her head.

Rylie opened her mouth but closed it again.

Aly bit her lip. Rylie wouldn't tell her or couldn't tell her? Which is it? She shook her head again. Before she jumped out of the window, transformed and ran towards the direction of the pack's location.

Her heart is hammering furiously against her chest. Rylie should trust her. Why didn't she? She wants everyone's safety but if Rylie doesn't tell her the truth. She'll have no choice but not to trust even her own mate if it comes down to it. She'll always choose the pack.

'Hunter, Nathan, Kelly, Hilga. To the Alpha's office now.'

She mind-linked the rest of the pack as soon as she stepped inside the dense forest of the mountain.

'Copy that, Beta Field.' Hunter immediately responded.

'What kind of meeting are we having?' Kelly inquired.

Aly knew that Kelly will always ask about what they are about to do. Typical of Kelly.

'I'll let you all know once we get there.'

'Alright.' Nathan said.

Aly stopped running when she saw the arch of the pack. It was safe for her to let down her guard and transformed back into being a human.

She quickly wore her coat then went towards the Alpha's office, and there was the gang waiting on her.

Hunter had his back to the corner of the door with his arms crossed and Nathan had a relief look on his face. At the same time, Kelly was looking off into the distance not minding the others.

They all quickly looked up and turned to look at her once she made her presence known.

"What is it? Is it a new plan?" Nathan anxiously hovered over her shoulder.

Aly couldn't help but bit her lip. Nathan had been anxious these days, and it was difficult for all of them to pacify him.

"Nate. Stop that. We are all anxious. Don't pressure Aly." Hunter tapped Nathan's shoulder, but Nathan just flicked it off and glared at the taller guy.

Aly can feel the tension between the two and she breaks them off by putting herself in between them.

"Guys, we are not the enemies here, alright?"
