Rylie's POV
Rylie felt her heart beat loud inside her ear. The anticipation and waiting for what the Elder was about to say made her hands sweat. She looked back and forth towards Aly, Alpha Hale, and the Elders.
Alpha Hale was clearly nervous by the way his adam's apple was moving, and Aly had sweat dripping down the side of her face.
"You are right." A smile broke out of Elder Tristan's face. "Very well. We will help you."
Rylie's lips broke out a smile. She turned towards Aly and grabbed her for a hug. Aly was stunned and couldn't believe what was happening. She hadn't moved an inch when Rylie tapped her shoulder.
Alpha Hale also smiled and patted Aly's shoulder.
Finally, Aly did it! Her true mate finally did it!
Rylie jumped in joy as she hugged Aly and Aly looked like she was in shock with her eyes and mouth wide open.
"A-Are you really willing to h-help us?" Aly uttered.
Elder Tristan nodded his head. "Yes, we don't want to lose another tribe because of the witches. It's time we fought them back and stopped their annihilation of our tribe."
"That easy? No fighting in the pit?" After a few seconds, Aly looked up and met Elder Tristan's eyes, and Rylie wanted to put a hand to Aly's mouth.
What is Aly doing? Isn't it good that the elders of the Raven Crest are now willing to help them? Why does she have to open her mouth? Rylie mentally face palmed.
Aly...
"Yes. I'm serious. Aly." Elder Tristan's eyes glimmer with golden light. "It's time that the witches get a taste of their own medicine. Now, go back to the quarters and tomorrow. We will sort our battle tactics against them."
"B-But we don't know where their coven is." Alpha Hale stepped up and looked at the elders one by one.
Rylie looked at Alpha Hale. She thought he wanted to help Aly. Why is he saying that?
The elders looked at each other, and Rylie bit her lip. That's true; they don't know where they should start. If they don't know where to look, they won't stand a chance against the witches.
"Well. I know that the witches will hunt every last one of the Light moon pack. I can be a lure to know their location."
"But Aly---that's dangerous!" Rylie can't help but voice out her opinion. She even shook her head as she looked at Aly's serious face. She has to say what she thinks now, or else she will have to lose Aly.
"Then what is your suggestion then?"
Rylie was taken aback when Aly snapped at her. This is the first time that Aly's voice is higher than usual. She wasn't prepared for it. Rylie hangs her head. Aly is willing to risk her life to rescue the Light moon pack, and Rylie constantly contradicts everything Aly says.
"S-Sorry."
She didn't hear Aly's response, but Rylie knew that she screwed up again big time.
The murmurs stopped.
"So it is settled then." Rylie heard Elder Tristan's voice. "Aly will be a bait, and we will follow them after Aly is captured."
"For now. Go rest, child." Elder Lola said.
--------------------
"Sorry." Alpha Hale held her shoulder when Aly walked out ahead of them. "Aly can be a bit of hot-headed when questioned. Is this the first time she had shown you this side?"
