Roxy was glad she didn't have to keep Trix's secret about crushing on Frostee a secret anymore. However, we didn't speak anymore about it. Pressuring Bellatrix about something is useless. That's one thing I really admire about Trix: she never gives in to any peer pressure.

Gripping the steering wheel tighter as I drove onto the slightly enclosed dirt road to the strip, I told myself have to do this. I have to keep my mask up. Suddenly, I feel a hand on my thigh. I look down and see Trix's hand, her black and silver painted nails starting to chip. I glance up at her, and the moment I connected my blue eyes to hers, I felt a wave of peace wash over me. My lips parted slightly because I was stunned by how she was able to change my emotions without any words. I responded to her silent help with a silent thank you, a small, short nod, and a meaningful blink in her direction.

Immediately after parking, instead of gathering myself like I planned to after cutting the engine, I didn't have to, thanks to Bellatrix.

"Do you think Clavin will be here?" Roxy asked with caution in her voice.

"Miss him?" Trix teased.

"No." Roxy told us the opposite answer on her face.

I paused walking as I spotted Frostee's blue mustang. It was beautiful...I don't remember it being so beautiful before. I followed my line of sight of his mustang to find the blonde man who owned it.

Blue.

He stood in a crescent-shaped group of people who were all smiling and a few laughing. He pushed a guy playfully who said something, and he started laughing at it.

"He looks...happy." One side of my mouth curved up.

"And he will be even happier when he sees you." Trix linked her arm in mine, pulling me along with her.

"I think I-" Trix forced eye contact stopping me from speaking further. She looked at me sternly, and I recalled the peaceful feeling she gave me in the car. "Right." I firmly nodded before letting her guide me the rest of the way.

"Frostee!" Trix waved enthusiastically.

Here we go.

Frostee turned, and I watched in slow motion. His blonde hair slightly shook with the movement. His green eyes made my heart clench. They locked onto Trix for a long moment before blinking onto mine. I watched his face break into a smile. A smile from Frostee. A smile...that was no longer mine. I tilted my head and smiled back once we reached Frostee and the rest of the fairly familiar faces.

"Been a while since I've seen the pair to Frostee's wheels." The guy that Frostee playfully pushed earlier said. I grinned at his comment.

"I still can't fathom how he's able to bring his baby out here every Friday. It hurts my heart anytime I bring mine." I speak with joking dramatics, and everyone laughs.

I smile subconsciously. Just like it was before, Trix and Roxy were right.

The roar of the familiar black Camaro made everything around me drown into the background. I turned and laid my eyes on the muscle car.  I didn't take my eyes off of it until the driver stepped out.

He should think about modeling. Anywhere he appears, it feels like a red carpet needs to be rolled out for him. My heartbeat picks up as he scans the area until his eyes land on me. Instead of maintaining eye contact, he pulls his phone out and does something on it really quickly while he continues his gait toward us.
