Chapter Nine

"I already said no, Chaka." Cobra argued as the two commanders and he were in his chambers, the said man still trying to talk the king into handing (Y/n) over to the marine. Pell held back any comments, as he knew the king wouldn't betray Vivi like that and hand her friend over to the marine. But there was still that nagging feeling that the king will give in to the idea. Cobra sighed, looking between Chaka's frowning and Pell's worried face.

"But your Majesty, for all we know she is at best a Rebel and at worst a killer-"
"King Cobra! Karoo came back!" A servant rushed into the room, causing the three men to look at him and the duck in shock.

"So Vivi and Igaram were spying this whole time? And the one behind all of this was nobody other than Crocodile?" Chaka concluded as they read the letters Vivi had sent them, surprised by the news. Cobra continued reading through the letters and nodded his head.
"Yeah, this whole time they were spying on the Baroque Works. I knew I shouldn't have trusted Crocodile! Ever since that whole dancing powder incident, he has been meddling with us!" Cobra said in exasperation.

"So what do we do now? Will we attack Crocodile?" Pell wondered, watching as Karoo drank his water. Cobra didn't answer as he continued reading through the letters.
"This will be tricky... this is one of the Seven Warlords and he is very powerful compared to us... though thanks to the letters we now know who was behind all of this, and that (Y/n) is on our side. She just did some spy work on the Rebels... which is a big thing, considering her brother is the leader."

"What? She betrayed her own brother?" Chaka asked. Pell looked at the king in shock, feeling like a huge burden was lifted off of him. He walked over to Cobra and took the letter from him and skimmed through it.
"We have got some additional information from her, where exactly the Baroque Works are located and the possible members." The king continued speaking as Chaka nodded his head slowly, mentally preparing himself for Pell's 'I told you so.'

"So, are we storming the Rainbase?" Pell looked at Cobra, who slowly nodded his head.
"Prepare the troops, we are going to Rainbase tomorrow morning."
"But sir, if do it and leave Alubarna unsupervised the Rebels will storm the palace." Chaka protested, but Cobra only shook his head.
"As I said, the people are the kingdom, we need to defeat Crocodile to save them. We can't let the sacrifices of Vivi, Igaram and (Y/n) be in vain. As I said, prepare the troops."
Chaka and Pell quietly nodded their heads, nobody protesting or questioning the king anymore.

(Y/n) squinted her eyes a little as she walked ahead of the group, a small smile forming on her face as she recognized the buildings in front of them.
"We are here, you all! This is Rainbase Oasis, also known as the gambling paradise. Some even call it the City of dreams."
The group excitedly looked up, feeling like they found the biggest treasure in humanity's history.
"Finally!" Zoro exclaimed as Luffy ran to (Y/n)'s side.

"Wadder!" Usopp and Chopper exclaimed, happy that they were finally out of the desert.
"Let's go and kick Crocodile's butt!"
"Not so loud." (Y/n) warned as she turned to look at the others.
"The Baroque are already aware that you are in Alabasta, and thanks to Mr. 2 they will know how you all look like. We need to be extra careful now that we are in a place Crocodile and Ms. All Sunday are in. The Baroque have definitely put out a hit on Vivi now too, and I am not in a better position either. The least we can do is stay low for a little while."

The group went quiet for a while as Vivi nodded her head, agreeing with one part.
"While it is true that we need to stay low, we also need to look for Crocodile as fast as possible, (Y/n) you of all are the one best aware of how fast he can  act." The (h/c) girl kept quiet for a moment as she thought over Vivi's words.
"True... Well, I have a suggestion-"
"Let's go kick Crocodile's butt!" Luffy yelled again, earning a hit from both Usopp and (Y/n).
"Can you listen?!"
"This is serious..."
