As (Y/n) was being led to the operation room where Luffy was hooked on some machines and watched over, Law and Jinbei were in the said room observing the boy's heartbeat on the monitor in silence. It wasn't an uncomfortable one for either of them since they never met nor had anything to talk about. To Law, Jinbei was just another patient, while to Jinbei Law was  a pirate who decided to extend his kindness to them for one reason or another.

"Will Luffy-kun be alright, Trafalgar-san?"
The said man glanced at the fishman before nodding his head.
"He should be in a few days. The wounds he got were quite severe, but they will heal. I'd rather you worry over his mental state once he wakes up." The captain explained as Jinbei solemnly nodded his head, remembering the state both Luffy and (Y/n) were in before he had passed out.

"And where is (Y/n)-chan? I told you that I wanted to see her as well. Where did you bring her?" The fishman eyed Law wearily for a moment, which didn't bother the young man in the slightest.
"I isolated her from the two of you for a reason. Her wounds weren't as severe, and aside from the burn scar on her left arm, she would be fine. I guessed that she would have woken up earlier, and I didn't want her to see you two in those states. Especially her captain." Law explained, missing the look of surprise that flashed in Jinbei's eyes for a few seconds.

"That's...awfully considerate of you."
"It's not. Anyone would do that." Law shrugged and went to organize something in his cabinet. Jinbei, though, didn't buy his words and stared at Law for a moment before speaking up.
"Anyone would, but you aren't anyone, Trafalgar-san. I have read about you in the news. You are quite... sadistic to some extent. So why are you considerate now?"
Law chuckled at his statements and shook his head.

"That's what they write about me? Not bad."
"You didn't answer -"
Jinbei got cut off from any further interrogating by the door opening rather abruptly, causing both him and Law to look back.
"Jinbei?! You are alright." (Y/n) sighed in relief for a moment before her eyes wandered to Luffy.
"Luffy..." She muttered and ran to his side as Law let out a string of curse words.

"Sorry, captain, she insisted!" Ikkaku said nervously as the man looked at her, Penguin and Shachi.
"I will deal with your punishments later. Go now." Law waved them off before looking back at the fishman and (Y/n) as she got comforted by him.
"Calm down, (Y/n)-chan. Luffy-kun will be alright."
"He will?! Jinbei-san, look at the state he is in! He looks beyond the point of recovery!" (Y/n) pointed at Luffy's disheveled form before continuing.

"Ivankov-san also mentioned that his body won't take it well if he faints again... What if he dies? What about the other Straw Hats? What will I tell them? What about his dream of becoming the next Pirate King -"
"You talk and worry too much."
(Y/n)'s questions came to a halt as Law's voice rang through the room, and the two looked back at him.
"Trafalgar..." She muttered in surprise and relief when she saw him, remembering that Ikkaku had told her that he had saved Luffy and her.

"Calm down with your worries and questions. Straw Hat will be fine. He just needs to rest. Although, once he wakes up, I would recommend that he takes it easy once he is awake." Law explained as he walked over to them while (Y/n) glanced at Luffy in worry.
'Luffy... Please be fine. We still need you here.' She thought while grabbing one of his hands as gently as she could. Law raised an eyebrow at her action before speaking up. Jinbei noticed her grip on Luffy's hand as well.
