It had taken her an hour and a lot of talking, but she did manage to eventually calm Luffy down. (Y/n) was relieved, to say the least, because the sight of her captain in that disheveled state was something she never wanted to witness in her life ever again. And she definitely didn't want Luffy to ever feel useless again like he mentioned earlier.
"Should we go now?" Luffy asked, snapping (Y/n) out of her own thoughts. Glancing over at the Straw Hat, she nodded her head and helped him stand up.

"Will you be able to walk?" She asked in concern, earning a nod before the boy weakly smiled at her.
"Don't worry, it's just my knuckles that are bleeding. My legs are fine, though."
(Y/n) nodded her head, unsure about letting him walk, but it was Luffy she was talking to. When he wanted to do something, he would do it. So, after Luffy had gotten up and dusted himself off, the two started walking back to the spot where the Heart pirates and Jinbei were. Luckily for them, they didn't have to look for the right directions too much since Luffy's earlier outburst left a lot of trees on the ground.

"I went quite overboard here." Luffy laughed nervously, earning a sincere laugh from (Y/n) in the process.
"Yeah, you definitely did. But I am not surprised given how confused and terrified you were when you had woken up. It could have been worse, though." She noted, and they walked in silence for a bit, giving Luffy the chance to look at her figure properly, and he immediately took notice of the state her left arm was in. The boy's face scrunched into a frown as an immense amount of guilt and anger flooded him.
"I am sorry about your arm."
Luffy's words caused her to look at him in surprise before she shook her head.

"This isn't your fault, Luffy. This happens when you are in a dangerous battle like the one we were in. Besides, it will heal. Law told me so, at least." (Y/n) smiled at the end, soliciting a confused reaction out of him.
"Law? Oh, that guy who we met on Sabaody. He saved us?"
"Yes, you probably didn't see him properly earlier, but he was there with his crew. They were real-life savers back at Marineford."
Luffy nodded in understanding, happy to have gotten this kind of help from a person he didn't know all that well, but something about the way (Y/n) talked about Law annoyed him.

"You are on first name base with him?" The boy asked.
"He asked me to." (Y/n) simply explained, and Luffy tried to keep his jealousy down as best as he could. Shaking his head, Luffy decided to change the topic from the Surgeon of death to something else.
"Thank you for staying by my side this whole time." Sincerely, Luffy smiled at her as (Y/n) shook her head.
"It's nothing worthy of thanks. It's completely normal to help a friend."
The boy's expression fell a little as he heard the title she had used on him, but he would ignore it for now.

The rest of the walk was for the most part silent with Luffy glancing at (Y/n) a few times while he felt like his heart leaped around in his chest, and his throat went dry for a split second.
'She really stayed... Out of everyone, she stayed. It's like fate wanted us to be together during this time.' Luffy let out a silent groan when he felt his emotions go into a whole turmoil, and that was something he was just too unfamiliar with to be able to handle it. (Y/n) looked at Luffy in concern, fearing that the boy was in pain from the earlier outburst, but before she could ask him anything, the two heard a familiar man call out their names.
