Chapter Twenty-Nine

Fellow Trafalgar Law fans, I think we are safe. I got reminded that Mrs. Oda threatened to divorce Oda if he killed off Law. He loves his wife too much to kill the man of her dreams. Mrs. Oda saving the day, what a queen.

Luffy blinked in confusion as he looked at the scene in front of him. On one hand, he had (Y/n) asking him to keep the spider for now, but on the other hand, he had Nami and Sanji protesting the idea.
"Please, Luffy. It won't cause any issues here." (Y/n) pouted while holding the arachnid in her hands, making sure the captain got a better look at it.

"Please, (Y/n), see reason. That spider doesn't belong here." Nami said, her heart breaking a little at her disappointed look, but she just hated spiders.
"Right! (Y/n)-chan, we already have a pet, anyway."
"We do?" Usopp asked in confusion, never ever having seen that pet.
"Yeah, Chopper." The blonde said while pointing at the doctor. The reindeer looked over at Sanji, a confused expression present on his face before it turned into an offended one.

"Hey!!"
"Chopper isn't a pet, Sanji." (Y/n) glared at him, which caused the cook to flinch away.
"I was just joking. Don't worry, (Y/n)-chan." Sanji laughed nervously as his face turned red.
'An angry (Y/n) looks even better than the usual smiling one.' The cook thought to himself as Luffy cleared his throat.
"Do you really want that spider here?" The captain asked, earning a quick nod from (Y/n).

"Yes! I promise, it won't bother anyone. How about this, I will keep it while we are here, and once we are back on the Grand Line, I will set it free?" She suggested, hoping that compromise would be alright with Nami and Sanji.
"Fine. It can stay." The black-haired boy shrugged.
"Luffy!" Sanji and Nami yelled, or more like cried.
"Thank you! You are the best!" She grinned, putting the animal on her shoulder. Luffy blushed a little at the last part.

"You think so?"
(Y/n) nodded at his question, not noticing the rest glaring at Luffy. Robin cleared her throat and walked over to where (Y/n) was, tugging on her shirt.
"I saw some unusual fish swim by. You need to see them."
"Fish?" (Y/n) questioned, following after Robin as Nami quickly joined them.
"Wait for me, you two."
"Me, too!" Chopper jumped up from the spot he was sitting on and followed after them, a little annoyed that Luffy allowed the spider to stay here.
'I can't believe the spider stole her attention that easily. Will she still carry me?' The reindeer thought in worry.

As soon as (Y/n) was out of earshot, the other guys glared in annoyance at the grinning captain.
"Luffy!"
"What? It's just a spider." The captain argued as he looked at Sanji.
"It's not that, idiot. Don't try to one up me here. We all know I will win (Y/n)'s heart in the end."
Zoro, already annoyed at Luffy, felt like he saw red for a moment when Sanji said the second part.

"You? Do you think you have a chance? You and I both know that you creep her out with your weird behavior."
"And some guy who can't see the difference between south and north will not impress her either."
Luffy rolled his eyes at Zoro and Sanji's arguing, and then he turned to look at Usopp.
"You are not her type, by the way."
The sniper sent him an offended look before restoring back.
"And neither are you. You are like a child."

While the guys were arguing, Robin and (Y/n) were admiring the fish in the sea while Nami tried to fix the log pose.
"That one is adorable." (Y/n) said as a pink fish jumped out of the water for a moment before landing in it again. Robin chuckled and nodded her head.
"It is. It looked like it was smiling for a moment."
"Mhm! The fish here look interesting, but not much different from the ones I saw on the Grand Line so far."

"That's true. I wonder if they have some connection. This place is quite mysterious."
"Mhm." (Y/n) nodded while staring down at the water.
"Is it broken?" Chopper asked in worry, which ended up earning both her and Robin's attention. Seeing Nami's frown and evident annoyance in her eyes caused Robin to rise an eyebrow.
"Is everything alright?"
"You don't seem to be enjoying yourself, Nami? Are you bored here?" (Y/n) wondered as the orange-haired girl looked over at them.
