The room fell silent as the pirates mainly stared between Luffy and Garp, trying to wrap their heads around the bombshell of information that Luffy had just dropped on them.
"Did... did Luffy just say that he is his grandfather?" Chopper whispered to (Y/n), trying not to get the man's attention on them. The girl held on Chopper tightly as she nodded her head, still confused since none of this made sense to her.
'How are they even related?! They look nothing alike! Is Luffy just messing with us?'

"Luffy, is he really your grandpa?" Sanji finally asked the question everyone has been dying to do so, but nobody dared to.
"Yes. Listen, don't mess with him! He will kill you. He nearly killed me on many occasions."
Luffy told his crew as he kept his glare fixated on the man.
"K-killed you?" (Y/n) looked at Luffy in a mix of disbelief and worry as Garp spoke up, clearly annoyed by the captain's claims.
"Hey now, don't say such scandalous things!

"I pushed you down bottomless cliffs, threw you into a jungle at night, tied you to a balloon, and sent you flying to the sky so that you could become a strong man!" The vice admiral argued back. As (Y/n) listened to him, her mouth opened widely again.
'How the hell did Luffy even survive all of that?!'
"I think I just saw the root of Luffy's endless life force." Sanji said in horror.

"I entrusted him to a friend of mine and trained him with Ace, but as soon as I took my eyes off of him, this happened. I trained you to be a strong Marine!!"
"I always told you that I wanted to be a pirate!"
"Nonsense! You are still under the bad influence of that Red head!"
"Shanks saved my life! Don't speak ill of him!"
(Y/n) flinched at the loudness of their voices and moved back a little.
"What a lovely reunion... Luffy! Hey, put him down!"

The girl's eyes narrowed as she watched Garp grab Luffy by the collar of his shirt, swinging his fist to punch him, only for the both of them to fall asleep.
"Ahhh! They fell asleep!!" Nami, Franky, and Chopper yelled in unison.
"They really are family, huh?" (Y/n) let out a small laugh, waking Garp up in the process.
"Oh crap, I fell asleep!" The man said, quickly regaining himself as he looked at Luffy, who was still asleep. The man's eyes narrowed at that, and to the horror of everyone else, he started punching Luffy.

"Wake up, Luffy! How can you display such an attitude while I am scolding you?!"
"Ok, there is no reason for you to see that."
Franky said nonchalantly while covering (Y/n)'s eyes.
"Ha? Hey! I saw worse!" She argued and quickly removed his hand from her eyes, only to see a bruised up Luffy sitting on the ground.
"Are you alright?"
Quickly putting Chopper down, (Y/n) ran to Luffy's side, ignoring Grap's look as she did so.

"I am fine... it just hurts." Luffy said as (Y/n) helped him up.
"Listen, do you even know what kind of guy that Red Haired is?!"
"Shanks?! Are Shanks and the others doing fine?! Where are they?!"
'Wait, Red haired Shanks?! Luffy knows one of the Yonkos?! What kind of past did he even have?' (Y/n) thought as she glanced back at Luffy.

"There are numerous pirates out there right now. However, Shanks is now one of the strongest, along with Whitebeard. They are called Yonkos, and they reign like emperors over the latter half of the Grand Line. The Marine Headquarters and Shichibukai exist to counter these four. Should any of these three powers become unbalanced, the peace of the world would crumble." Garp spoke in a serious tone as the crew whispered something to each other. (Y/n), for the lack of better judgment, quickly spoke up to Garp.

"Garp-san, if you knew that Shanks had so much influence on people, why did you leave Luffy around him? Surely, you must have known that someone like Luffy would take interest in becoming a pirate if Shanks was around."
