So, I was really trying not to say that much about this whole Ukraine abandoning spiel America is doing right now. But, as a fellow Slav and Bosnian, I see it as my moral duty to say something (or else I will explode). Because what is happening right now is what happened over 30 years ago in my country.
What America is doing is the utmost betrayal I have seen in a long time, especially since America promised in 1994 to protect Ukraine if the country gave up its nuclear weapons.
Zelenskyy is not the dictator Trump and the whole of Ameican media wants him to be. Ukraine is not the aggressor here. The Ukrainians are the ones who are in bomb shelters right now, praying to see their loved ones who went out to defend their country. THEIR MOTHERLAND.
I am so sick and tired of all of this, especially when the main topics in American news about all of this are that Zelenskyy didn't wear a suit to the Oval office, and that he wasn't behaving correctly towards Trump. I am sorry?? Parts of his country are being taken away, his people are dying at the hands of the Russians, which America is now allowing to happen, people have lost their homes, their loved ones, centuries of history and culture are being erased again by Russia (AGAIN. This is not the first time. Open a history book and read), and so much more is happening right now. A suit is the last thing on his mind. Or behaving politely after being betrayed by a country that swore to help him, and also getting ambushed by a barely literate orange and a Catholic who the Pope in Vatican had to reprimand for his lack of knowledge in his own faith.
Ukrainian people do not want war. They want peace like everyone else does. They never wanted any of this.
I am sorry, this will be my quite possibly last time talking about this because I know that nobody is here to read my opinions on geopolitics. Please, I don't want to hear stuff like 'I didn't vote for him', that's not the point here. I don't care if or if you haven't voted for him. The fact is, Ukrainians are being left to find help elsewhere while the country is being shredded into pieces.
