While the Straw Hats were having their own challenges while scattered around Sky Island and Skypiea, news of Luffy and Zoro's new bounties made their round around the pirates and marines on the Grand Line, as well as the people from their home islands. The reaction varied depending if people knew them or not, even people from Zoro's island found out about his shenanigans ever since he joined Luffy, which prompted some kids to announce that they want to be like him. The reaction to the news about Luffy beating a warlord varied from amusement, excitement, envy, and anger. The latter two were more prominent on Blackbeard, who still showed annoyance that the Straw Hats escaped them.

"I can't believe I let that Straw Hat boy escape. Just imagine the respect and fear I could have gotten if I caught him." The man grumbled as the sniper next to him shrugged, putting the newspaper and a third wanted poster in front of him.
"Did you read the rest of the news? Apparently, a girl who was causing issues to Crocodile for years joined the boy as well."
"What are you talking about, Augur?" The black-haired man raised an eyebrow, not paying any mind to the papers in front of him.

"That (Y/n) girl was pretty much a nobody up until yesterday, but now she seems of high interest to the World Government. The article reported multiple occasions of her either killing or paralyzing Crocodile's people with the poisons she was creating. She even attacked Marines, who were in Alabasta some time ago." Augur explained as the pirate captain looked at him in a dumbfounded manner.
"Huh? And how do you know she joined that scrawny brat?"
"Look at the wanted poster of her, I saw her on the Straw Hat's ship before they got sent into the sky earlier."

"Wanted poster..." Blackbeard muttered as he looked at the piece of paper, not finding anything remarkable in her appearance, but what he did find interesting was the high bounty.
"70 million?! How much was her previous bounty?"
"That is her starting bounty. She wasn't on the radar until now. She seems of some importance to the World Government if they want her caught alive." The sniper finished his explanation, then glanced over at the captain.

"What are you thinking about?"
"She is very plain looking. I can't believe she has a bounty this high... But, I am interested in her abilities. She might be of good use in the future." The man smirked, making a mental note to alert the rest of his crew to keep an eye out for her.

"What are you looking at, sir?" A pink haired boy asked while cleaning the office room of his teacher and vice-admiral, who was currently sitting in his office chair and looking at the newspaper in a weird way. It wasn't that weird, the boy had to admit, but the man had a look he had never seen before. It was a mix of relief, sadness, and something else... maybe disappointment? The pink-haired boy shook his head at the last bit. Maybe he was seeing things.

'It's better for me to continue cleaning before I provoke him.' The boy gulped and started mopping faster.
The older man sent him a glance before looking down at the page that was talking about (Y/n) and the stuff she did in Alabasta to the marines.
'While I am happy that she is alive and well, I can't help but think I should have done something to prevent this. I should have looked for her as soon as her parents were executed, I made a promise to her mom that I couldn't keep it.' The man sighed as he rubbed hus temples in annoyance.

'Shame. Judging how her parents and grandfather were smart, I don't doubt one bit that she is just like them. She would have had a great career in the marines. But, if I had raised her around Luffy and the other two, she would have been influenced to become a pirate anyway... Whatever, I might have failed my promise in the past, but there is still a chance for me to make things right. I will talk to her when I visit Luffy the next time.' The man sighed, throwing the newspaper on the table.
