Chapter Twenty-Eight

I will be in front of Oda's house at 3 am if Law dies :)

As the crew was getting ready to leave the island, (Y/n) put away the books that Cricket gave her into the cabin her, Robin, and Nami were using. She was quite grateful that he gave her them, since they had a lot of value, so she put them in a safe place where they couldn't be found easily or damaged. (Y/n) smiled as she heard Luffy and Usopp yell in excitement, while Nami and Sanji warned them to keep quiet.

'Sky Island... Based on the stories I have heard, it seems like a peaceful place. It would be nice to relax a little after everything happened.' She sighed dreamily, a little bit of excitement creeping into her as well.
"I am sure grandfather would have laughed if he heard me say it. He was always more of a fact-based person, after all. He was so much different from that other scientist who used to visit." She hummed sadly but then frowned as she tried to remember the man's name. (Y/n) could make out his features in her blurry memory. Gray hair with a bald spot in the middle, and a funny face.

'I never remembered his name, but I do remember that he always gave me candy when he visited-'
"(Y/n)!!"
The girl gasped in surprise as Luffy slammed the door open, grinning at her.
"There you are! We are leaving!"
"Already?" She raised an eyebrow, walking over to the captain who quickly nodded his head.
"Yeah! Masira and Shoujou's crews will escort us to the knock up stream."
"And where is the bird?"

Her question was answered as soon as she walked out and looked down at the deck where Zoro and Sanji were keeping it in place.
"They are keeping an eye on it." Usopp said as he stood across the two while Chopper kept fidgeting around a little. (Y/n), noticing the reindeer's distress, walked down the stairs and towards the doctor.
"Are you alright? Is the idea of this trip making you nauseous?" She asked in worry as Chopper slowly nodded his head.

"A little. I am just scared of what might happen up there or if we will survive this."
(Y/n) smiled a little and got down on Chopper's eye level.
"It will be alright. Don't worry about it. Besides, we can always count on Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy to take care of the bad guys." She smiled nervously, unsure in her own words with the way they were acting recently.
"So, everything will be fine?!" Chopper asked with more hope this time.

"I am sure of it! Besides, you are strong, too. You can handle yourself just fine."
The reindeer grew flustered by her words and did his happy dance while protesting the idea.
'He is so adorable!! I will cry!!' (Y/n) thought as the ship set sails.
"Kids! This is where we part. There is one thing that is certain in this whole journey..." (Y/n) heard Cricket speak, and she slowly got off of the floor and walked over to where Luffy and Usopp were standing.
"... It is that the Golden City and Sky Island are real. Others might laugh at us who believe in it, but this journey will be romantic!"

She smiled at his words as Luffy looked at Cricket in confusion.
"Romantic?"
"You will see what I mean. And, thank you for the gold."
"Nothing to thank me for! Bye, mister!" Luffy yelled as the ship started moving.
"Thank you for the books, mister Cricket! I will make sure they stay safe and in one piece!" (Y/n) yelled while waving.

"I am sure you will! Stay safe!"
As the crew started yelling their individual goodbyes, (Y/n) looked up at the sky.
'Sky Island. I wish there was a way to tell this to Vivi, Koza, and Pell. They would probably call me crazy, though.' She chuckled at her own thoughts as Robin called her over to a safer spot as Nami started ordering Sanji and Zoro around.

Approximately 3 hours later, the three crews were still sailing, both Shojou and Masira's crewmates in search of the knock-up stream as the Straw Hats carefully observed the bird.
"It just keeps pointing at the south- Luffy. Stop messing with it." (Y/n) warned the captain before going back to reading a book Robin had pulled out.
