Chapter Twenty-Seven

Zoro yawned as he got up from his seat, looking around the area where his crewmates were. Usopp was helping Shoujou and Masira with building up the ship, Nami was listening to Robin's tales that she heard about Sky island, and by the looks of it, he could only guess that she didn't like what she was hearing. Sanji, being Sanji, and Chopper, looking through some medical books Cricket gave him earlier.

"Hm? Where did (Y/n) go?" The swordsman asked but was left with the question unanswered, which led him to look around instead. To his surprise and delight even, it didn't take him long to find her since she was behind the house, sitting in a more secluded area while writing something down.
"What are you doing here?"
Shocked by his voice, (Y/n) gasped and looked over at Zoro, and then she smiled in relief after a few seconds.
"Zoro, you aren't asleep yet?"
"I slept a little." The green-haired swordsman said, deciding to sit down next to her.

"I am not surprised. As for what I am doing, I am writing down about some plants that Noland apparently found during his journey." (Y/n) admitted, looking away from her notebook and showing him the two logs of the explorer. Zoro raised an eyebrow and picked up one of them, mindlessly skimming through the text.

"Do you plan on searching for them?" He wondered as (Y/n) stopped writing for a moment.
"Well, I don't know how possible it is to find these plants now that the part of Jaya that had them is gone, but maybe another island will have them. Or even someone will be selling them. Although, the ones I am looking for aren't that common anymore." (Y/n) explained as Zoro slowly nodded his head, putting the log down on the ground. He sighed and leaned against the wall, silently observing the girl as she got lost in her own world again.

'Let's see, Noland wrote a lot about rue herbs, I read somewhere that it is multifunctional for medical purposes. If only I could find one of them these days, but they are nearly extinct. The ones that can be bought nowadays are ridiculously expensive. Noland mentioned something about using them on one of his crewmembers.' (Y/n) thought to herself as she read through one of the logs. Zoro smiled softly at her behavior, finding it endearing in a way.

'Her dedication is really adorable. I like it.'
"Say, (Y/n), do you like staying with us?" Zoro's question caused her to stop writing for a moment, thinking about an answer. The swordsman was a little worried about the answer and gulped quietly.
'Please don't tell me you miss that chicken guy-'
"I do. If I can be honest, I was scared at first, but now I like it. You guys are quite a lot of fun." She turned to look back at Zoro, who just nodded his head. Shortly after, she went back to doing her previous task, giving Zoro the chance to relax. The swordsman grinned a little as his cheeks turned a light shade of red.
'Good enough for me.'

After a while, the rest noticed Zoro and (Y/n) missing, causing them to panic a little.
"Where could they be?! Maybe a sea monster ate them while we weren't looking!" Usopp panicked, which caused Chopper to do the same.
"Sea monsters?! What?! We couldn't have a lot of them like that!"
"Stop panicking!!" Nami glared at the two while Robin started to walk around the place to look for them.
"Don't worry, I will find (Y/n) and bring her back. Don't worry, my beloved, I will save you!" Sanji said, all fired up as Nami and Chopper sweatdropped.

"What about Zoro?!" Usopp yelled.
"Nobody cares-"
But, before Sanji could finish, an arm appeared out of his shoulder, and the hand covered his mouth.
"Shh. I found them." Robin said sternly, returning from the back of the house.
"You did? Oh, that's great! Where are they?" Nami smiled in relief as the other removed the arm from Sanji's form.

"They fell asleep in the back. They are both fine."
A small silence fell over the group as Sanji looked at her in horror.
"They are sleeping with each other?!"
"You make it sound worse than it actually is. They just fell asleep next to each other." Robin said in amusement as the cook made his way to where they were.
"Robin, that doesn't sound any better. Bring her here, Sanji." Nami ordered, to which the cook gladly obliged, but quickly got held back by the sniper and doctor.
