The night is deep, darkness reigns in the whole environment. Even insects are afraid to make noise at these times. The moon did not show either and chose to hide in the thick clouds in the sky. The branches on the tree were also motionless as if they were afraid to move. The cigarette I lit earlier has run out. I am now on the veranda of my room and waiting for morning even though I know I will have to wait six more hours. The silence was very helpful today and I thought about Devon's plans

"Sa oras na mapasakamay natin si Liane, mapapadali nating mapapasunod si Niall." Ito ang isa sa mga naalala ko mula kay Dancel nang pag-usapan namin ang misyon na kailangan naming matapos.

"What to do with Liane then?" Tanong ko noon sa kanya na sana ay hindi ko nalang nalaman.

"Si Devon na ang magdedesisyon. Kilala mo naman ang lalaki na 'yon, sa oras na makuha na niya ang gusto nito siguradong tutuluyan na rin niya ito sa dulo."

I came back to reality when I saw Leona. A black car arrives and she gets out with a boy. I threw my cigarette on the floor and stepped on it to stamp out its light. We still have no idea who that boy is with Leona. It couldn't be her and Devon's child.

Have they been connected to each other for a long time? It's hard to believe that they have a child because how can that happen when Leona and I have been in a relationship for two years.

"Sinasabi ko na nga ba. Malaking mali na pinagkakatiwalaan at minahal kita." Narinig ko ang pagbukas ng pinto ng kwarto ko kung kaya't umayos ako ng tayo.

"Pumasok na ako, kanina pa ako kumakatok. Hindi mo ba naririnig?" Tanong ni Gavin nang makalapit ito sa akin sa labas ng veranda.

"I'm sorry," walang emosyon kong sabi at ibinalik ang tingin ko sa ibaba kung nasaan naka-park ang sinasakyan ni Leona.

"Kakausapin daw tayo ni Devon." Alam ko na ang isasagot ko sa kanya dahil inasahan ko na iyon ang sasabihin nito.

"I can't join for now. I have to go somewhere." It's true that I haven't changed my clothes yet because I just came from a cafe earlier.

Kahit man lang ngayon ay gusto kong makapagpahinga sa kung ano na namang magiging plano ng grupo namin. Gusto ko munang lumayo sa buhay na malayo sa kinalakihan ko.

The moment anyone do any kind of act where they can make noise it is equivalent to committing a crime. It seems a sin to make noise tonight. No less than five hundred people were now gathered in the forest and were only looking in one direction.

As Devon's friend we complied with his request, a request which we did not expect to change the lives of our friends. He is in the very front part, standing on high ground like a platform, there are sharp stones around it and the moment you approach it you will be dead.

"Wala na tayong oras pa para sa mahabang diskusyon. Kailangan nating makaganti sa lalong madaling panahon."

Napagdesisyunan ko na isumbong sa pulis at gobyerno ang mga tao sa likod ng pagpatay sa mga magulang namin. Sa una ay natakot ako dahil nalaman namin na hindi mga ordinaryong nilalang ang pumaslang sa mga magulang ko at ng mga kaibigan namin ni Devon.

Wala akong ideya noon na sumali ang mga magulang ko sa isang grupo kapalit ng malaking halaga ng pera. Inakala ko noon na nakuha lamang iyon sa trabaho dahil alam ko naman na halos isakripisyo nila ang buhay nila para magkaroon ng pera para lang makapag-aral sa university. Ang nakakapanghinayang lang at hindi ko matatanggap na dahil sa pagkakaroon nila ng koneksyon sa kinilala nilang grupo ay kapalit naman ito ng kanilang buhay.

Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan ang gabi kung saan inakala kong magugunaw na ang mundo. Nakakabingi ang mga pagsabog sa iba't-ibang direksyon na halos burahin na ng mga bomba ang lugar namin. Madilim sa paligid ngunit nagkakaroon ng panandaliang pagliwanag sa tuwing may mga sasabog na bomba na hindi ko malaman kung saan nanggagaling.

"Yuri! Lumaban ka anak!" Dad was supporting me when he got close to me and mom, but I didn't expect what happened next. I ended up sitting on the ground in weakness. I couldn't even touch mom and dad as their bodies fell completely on the ground while they had a deep cut behind them that almost split their bodies in two.

I gathered my remaining strength to look up at the two men who killed my parents. Even though my vision was blurred by the weakness that my body felt, I forced myself to open my eyes.

"Niall! Tara na! Nasa kabilang dulo pa sila Lucien! Puntahan na natin sila!"

The man named Niall kept looking at my parent's body on the ground. When he saw me moving because I wanted to get even with, he raised his long gun and pointed it at me. But before he could shoot it, Devon came out of the darkness.

I could clearly see the bright color of his eyes, it was red like blood. His sharp fangs gradually came out and his fingernails grew longer. Without saying anything, Devon grabbed Niall's neck and almost separated him from the man's body. The gun that was facing me earlier was pointed at Devon's chest and Niall fired it without saying a word but Devon didn't have any reaction which surprised me.

Because of what happened, Devon became even stronger and his veins were clearly visible in his body that had spread through his thin skin. A few moments later, the body of a tree was almost broken, then he hit the body of the man named Niall and the latter looked like a withered vegetable and could not move. Devon was now holding the long gun and pointed it at Niall. He spent his bullet on the body of the man who was already lying on the ground. I couldn't process what happened next. The last scenarios I saw were Devon hugging me with his right hand and Dancel in his other hand who was also weak.

"I am here. Ipaghiganti ko kayong lahat."
