Reyna and Everyone

ACE THOUGHT TRAVELLING ON A CHARIOT pulled by Aarion was bad. It was nothing compared to how much his body hated jumping time and space in complete nothingness

He had already expended a good portion of energy on Percy and Annabeth. Worth it, considering he had them on her feet by the time the group needed to leave. Except he had no way to restore himself.

When he made the jump, for the fraction of the second it took, his body burned from the inside out trying to overcompensate for having no light source. A defense mechanism he had no control over. As a retaliation the darkness tried to snuff him out, literally. It tightened on him like a kid who had no interest in playing nicely with toys. Tighter and more all consuming then he would have thought his body could handle.

Everything went to nothing all at once as they landed. His brain just catching up let out an agonizing groan as his legs were unable to catch him and he collapsed to the ground.

"Ace!" Arya's hands were on him a second later.

The Son of Apollo coughed out the burning sensation from his chest while involuntarily contracting into a ball on the ground. One second, two. It was gone as soon as it came. Ace straightened out and pushed up to his knees.

"What happened?" Nico asked.

As Ace's vision focused back in and he could feel his body again he looked around to see the entire group surrounding him.

"I'm good." He said, pushing through his strained voice, "My body just didn't like it."

He pushed himself to his feet to make his point.

Relief settled on everyone's face as Arya rose back up as well.

"I'd say you'd get used to it but all I've ever come out of that with is some nausea." Arya said with slight amusement in her tone. Although, it didn't really look like she was planning to leave his side.

The entire crew took a seat in the grass on the hill and overlooked the Argo II still floating above the water a few miles away. Early morning light was peaking over the horizon signaling that they had been in the House of Hades all night.

Deciding that the Universe had taken enough of their time, they collectively decided to stay for a moment; processing and swapping stories.

Frank told about their battle, while Jason made sure the son of Mars got his credit.
