Carly
I woke in between Kyle and Jonathan hadn't they gone back to their cabin when I finally drifted off to sleep? So this is a Carly Sandwich?
They yawned.
"Morning, angel."
"How did you sleep, baby girl?"
"What are you two still doing here? Isn't this against the rules or something?"
"Maybe but you were really upset last night. We thought it was best to stay here and cuddle you to make you feel better."
"I know and I'm grateful but please stop with the pet names. I still have a boyfriend back at home."
"We know, baby girl. We're all friends and we'll stay that way until you state any differently."
I sighed what the hell was I going to do with these guys?
"We should get up, we have half an hour before the day starts."
"We'll leave you in peace to change then we'll be back."
"Unless you want us to stay and help." Jonah th wiggled his eyebrows grinning.
I grasped a pillow and hit him with it. "Get the hell out you perv. I'll meet you outside in twenty minutes."
"Ten."
"Whatever."
We all pulled ourselves up.
"Whenever you need us to cry on, or a shoulder to lean on, we're here angel."
"I know, thanks."
They nodded, smiled and walked out of the cabin so I could change for the day ahead.
I quickly headed to relieve myself, shower and change. Before heading out of the cabin and waiting patiently for the two knuckleheads I chose as my BFFs, they were sweet and caring. Unlike the guys I knew back at school, they were all assholes apart from Aiden. He was an Angel. I have no idea how things are going to work out between us now I'm here and going to college. Once I begin college I will be here four days a week until I get my qualifications. After that, who knows maybe I'll go to Uni and further my qualifications and get a degree before I am a qualified counsellor.
I tap my foot waiting for dumber and dumber to arrive. "You sure you're a girl, Carls?"
I look up and grin at both of them. "Are you sure you're not? What took you so long? I've been out here forever." I grinned laughing,
I'm glad I met these pair of idiots. They make me feel most confident in myself and in my skin, something I never have even when I'm around Aiden.
They both smirked. "Ha ha very funny. Not!"
"I thought it was."
"Blame this douche he reckoned it would take you more than twenty minutes to shape and change. I told him you were no ordinary girl and you'd be done in ten. We took so much time arguing we had to rush around."
I laughed. "Fifteen actually, but close. Come on, let's go, I'm starving."
They nodded in agreement and I slid my hands through their arms and we walked away chatting and laughing. We separated, going into the cafeteria to eat, still laughing and chatting.
We all got our food and drinks before sitting down. A tapping on a glass had us all quieten down and turn around. Casapien grinned. "Now I've got all of your attention. I'll begin. I would like to welcome Carly Evans back to us in her second term here. But this time she will be learning the ropes from our very own counsellor and will be studying for a counsellor position here at the camp here and at college. Don't think she knows nothing about what you guys are going through; she knows more than you all think. She's been here before, remember though all of you have different reasons for being here she's here to help and give you a sympathetic ear and advice. We have more and more teenagers coming to the camp each year and we've decided that it is now time to take in more counsellors and there will be more joining us in a few weeks once you've all got used to all of us. Show them all respect and they'll show it to you back. Remember respect is earned not given." He paused. "And in that note all the activities set for this week are on the board and who's groups you'll all be in, you may continue with your breakfast. We begin in thrusted minutes."
He sat back down and everyone turned and began to eat again. "Looks like Cas hasn't changed." I muttered to Kyle and Jonathan.
They chuckled.
"Not in the slightest."
I nodded and continued to eat.
"Are you going to be out on the training grounds with us?"
"Later. I have to report to Mrs Leyland the counsellor here."
"Good luck, you'll need it."
I smiled wearily.
I've heard a lot about her. She's strict and doesn't take any shit from no one especially the kids who try it on with her and some of the army guys too.
"Well we'll see you later Carls."
"If you survive that is." Bulldog Jr said, winking and grinning as they both walked away.
"So are you ready Miss Evans?"
I looked up to a grinning Caspian.
"I am Sergent Hollingway?" I said, grinning.
"Good let's get your first day started. I know you've met before but I need to formally introduce the both of you."
"Sure, let's go."
"That's what I like to hear, determination." He grinned.
I swallowed hard. I just wanted to get this day over and done with. "Lead the way."
He smiled and nodded and we left the cafeteria and headed over to the counsellors offices.
This is going to be a long ass day.
