StarAll was mayhem and going to shit the flowers had yet to turn up, and I was losing my shit bridezilla in true form. My insides were clenching in a tights knot I had never felt so fucking nervous in my entire life. I couldn't eat, I was barely drinking. If it wasn't for the bubbly, I wouldn't drink at all. I had had four glasses already whilst we were getting changed, luckily for me, I had Jaz and Carly by my side. We had our bachelorette party last week, and we were lucky enough not to bump into the guys' venues we couldn't from the Mediterranean. We had been there a week previous to settle in and head to the beech and catch some rays, hoping we wouldn't have to use fake tan thank fuck we didn't. I had been pacing back and forth after I had been sewn into my dress. Not literally, but it felt like I had.
"Calm down, Sis, they'll be here."
"They better be. They said that they would be here by ten and it was almost eleven. The car will be here soon, and I can't go without the damn flowers. I'll look damn stupid."
They both placed their arms around me, hugging me. "They'll be her Star, you just need patience."
Patience is not my strong point.
A knock came to the door and Carly smiled, taking her arms from around me. "I'll get it."
I nodded, knowing if I opened the door I'd be the worst bridezilla ever demanding why they were late.
Carly opened the door and took the flowers off the florist, thanking them before closing the door. She headed towards us and smiled. "She apologized for being late, and she got caught in traffic after leaving the groom."
Typical, she had to drop their flowers off first.
I nodded, and I took my bouquet of Carly, a black and white mixture of flowers all fake with diamanté's and mesh over them, the maid of honor and bridesmaid ones a little smaller.
The car pulled up and I gulped. "It's time, are you ready Star?"
I nodded as ready as I'll ever be, marrying the love of my life.
We all headed out of the home Cas and I shared. He had gone to his parents' the day before, so we didn't break tradition. Mom smiled at me teary-eyed. "You look beautiful, Star. He won't be able to take his eyes off you." she sniffled.
"Thanks mom, but please don't make me cry. I'll ruin my makeup."
She rolled her eyes and nodded. Muttering so grown up. Before, we all headed out of the house and to where the limo was waiting to take us to the church.
We all got in, and the driver closed the door. He got in and pulled away, heading to our first destination, a little gothic church with surrounding trees and grassland.
Caspian
I stood nervously in the church with Dad by my side, mom sat on the front pew with Jonathan, Kyler, Ethan and Conrad. I had agreed for them to sit together even though he was Star's friend and not mine. We spoke to each other when necessary for Star's sake. He still had heart eyes for her, so I hoped he wasn't going to stand up and declare his undying love for her and make a complete fool out of himself and make me look like a complete fool.
The florist had turned up ten minutes late due to traffic, so we all had to do our pinholes pretty quickly. So that we were able to go to the church before the bride. Luckily, we had, and the church had started to fill. Everyone took their seats waiting for Star to arrive with her mom, sister and Carly.
My palms were all sweaty. A hand clasped my shoulder. "She'll be here son."
I nodded at my father's reassurance.
Star's dad had arrived just after us, informing us that they would be here soon. The florist had arrived around ten minutes ago, damn she was cutting it fine today of all days.
All of a sudden, the wedding march began to play and my nerves were shot. Oohs and ages spread across the church. I finally looked over at my angel, and she was damn perfect in the satin wedding dress with a hint of black, maroon and red. She was a sight for sore eyes. "You look beautiful."
She smiles and gives me the once over smirking.
The vicar cleared her throat. "We all gathered her to join Caspian Hollingway and Star Hansen in holy matrimony. "We are all gathered here today to witness Caspian Hollingway and Star Hansen and in holy matrimony anyone who has anyone he who is in lawful impediment is against this marriage please state now or with ever hold your peace."
The church falls silent for a few short minutes. In those few short minutes, I'm convinced Conrad is going to open his mouth and spread malicious lies to everyone here about me, but he doesn't.
The vicar sighed and smiled. "Caspian, please repeat after me. "I call upon these people here present to witness that I Caspian Hollingway, do take thee Star Hansen to be my lawful-wedded wife. I promise to care for you, to give you my love and friendship and to respect you and cherish you throughout the rest of our lives together."
I repeat what she says, then Star does the same.
"With this ring, I gladly marry you and join my life to yours forevermore." The vicar says and I repeat, sliding the ring in then Star repeats the words, sliding my ring on.
"You may now kiss the bride."
Finally, I pull her close and press my lips on hers, kissing her hungrily, not caring if our families are here with us, or anyone else for that matter. I've been waiting four years for this day.
Whistles and claps erupt in the church. I finally pulled away. "Are you ready for the rest of our lives together, Mrs. Hollingway?"
"I am Mr Hollingway."
I smile and take her hand, and we head down the aisle. The photographer is taking postures as we go. Jazmine, Carly and our parents followed next. This is the best day of my life apart from meeting Star. I finally get to live the rest of my life with the love of my life.
We exit the church and confetti is thrown over us and pictures are taken of all of us before we head to the venue down the road that lies behind, so let's hope no one gets lost.
We all get into the limo minus Star's mom, who joins her dad in their car, following us behind to the venue for our reception and where we'll be spending the night. We pulled into the venue waiting to greet all of our guests. They come slowly but surely admitting that GPS is the worst invention ever. We all laugh as they enter.
Ethan came up to us. "Congrats Cus."
We shake hands, and he pulls me into a bro hug before letting go. "And this is my beautiful wife Star."
He looks at her and studies her before pulling her into a hug. "It's good to finally meet you, Star. Cas has told me all about you."
She smiles politely. "You too."
He pulls away and grins. "Take care of him."
"I will."
He smiles, nods and walks on, so we can greet the next guests until we're finally done and can go into the dining hall for a late lunch or early supper. Everyone is seated ready for food and speeches.
I just hope Jonathan doesn't dig up too much of our past.
The wine glass clinks. "Good afternoon folks, shall we get the boring stuff over and done with, so we can all eat?" Jonathan says, grinning.
Everyone laughs and some say, "Amen to that."
Jonathan chuckles and gives my dad the front stage.
