What's Going On Between Them?

There was definitely something going on between Star and Cas. I've never seen her come into the camp at night nor have I seen her leave in the morning. It was like she was hiding something. If they were seeing each other why hasn't she told me we shared everything, or so I thought.

Was she his dirty little secret? If that was so it wouldn't last long ed knowing Star like I do she will eventually snap and that can either be good or bad for her and the person involved depending on what they decided is important and if it's not her or her feelings towards her then they would be left high and dry especially after all the shit she's been through since starting uni. I had warned Cas, we all had so why would he keep their relationship quiet? If they were in fact in one. Everyone had been questioned by the cops about what had happened from beginning to end. None of us saw any of this coming, maybe Star had. The cops gave us all a dress down about how this could've been avoided if we had called earlier, but the thing was we had and Jonathan pointed that put several times and they were eyeballs deep and they would get to us as soon as they could the same went for the ambulance fucking covid since the outbreak all has gone to shit like your not important if your not fuckng dead.

They take hours to come to the scene or the distress of someone who could be in serious pain but they don't fuckin care this is all the fuckin fault of our so called "government".

What if he had died?

Who would be to blame then? Not those that come but us. I'm so pissed right now.

Finally all the questioning was over this had been one long ass day and to think we had missed the signs that Cas wasn't coping to do whatever stupid thing he had done could've put him in a fucking grave. I'm so pissed right now not to mention stardust metering the camp undetected. That means one thing she's come in for the back of the camp somewhere so she wasn't detected. Is Cas having a fling with her?

Fuck.

If he is I hope he knows what he's doing after all of our warnings she's not the right girl to have a fling with her heart will shatter into a million pieces and if that happens I will never forgive him he was fucked up enough when he obsessed over Carly, I pray to god he's not obsessed with stardust or things will get ugly and real quick.

I strode over to Carly and Kyler. They had been interviewed before me and by different officers. I can't believe this shit they're trying to pin it on us as we are officers and he took Carly on as part of the staff though she won't be truly one of us until she finishes uni and I can't wait for that day then we can finally be together. Though Kyler is standing close to Carly there is friction between them, god I hope he hasn't done anything stupid again.

"Hey guys the cops are done are you up to going to the hospital to see what the fuck is going on with Cas?"

They both look at me exhausted, I feel it too but I want to know what had happened to him. He hasn't been seen around camp today at all; he's had days like this in the past, but these past few months he's becoming more of a hermit. Somethings going on with him and I'm sure Stardust knows and I bet anything Cas has asked her to keep it to herself because of his pride or some bullshit like that.

"Yeah I do."

"Me too."

"I for one want to know how Stardust got in here without anyone spotting her."

"You're not the only one."

"Do you think there's something going on between them?"

"If there is, I don't think there will be after tonight." Carly bear says. Concern upon her voice.

I can't help but agree once Cas knows she pulled herself to save his ass he'll finish things and we'll end up picking up the pieces not him and if that happens he'll be six feet under and that's a promise not a threat.

We all head over to the jeep in silence and hop in. I put it into gear and pulled away. The local hospital is ten minutes away. I parked up and once we were there we all got out, closing the doors. We all head into the hospital together and I stride over to the desk and ask where I can find Caspian Hollingway.

The receptionist smiles and clicks a few buttons. "Sergeant Hollingway is in surgery right now Lieutenant Stanford. But if you would like to wait you can go into the waiting room where his fiancé is waiting."

I nod and thank her. I wasn't sure that I heard right the first time but this time confirms my suspicions that he and Stardust are in some kind of relationship but what kind is unclear.

We all head into the waiting area Carly sits down next to Stardust she looks up at Carly, her eyes are red and blotchy. She begins to sob again Carly brings her into her arms hugging her.

"Why did you tell them your Capians fiancée?"

"I don't know, I just panicked. I should never have left him."

"What do you mean?"

"I..I.."

As she was about to tell us what she was talking about the doctor came into the waiting area. "Are you Sergeant Caspian's fiancé?"

She nodded and she'd yes, siliently.

"Sergeant Caspian has just come out. We had to pump his stomach. He had taken a lot of his prescribed medications causing him to lose consciousness. He is stable for now but we'll be checking on him every half an hour. He will be seen by our medical team and physiatrist to assess him to see if his medication is working. If it's not they will look into giving him a higher dosage. He needs you around right now, all of you." He says looking at us.

"At least all of his friends are here now." She mutters.

I snap my gaze at her wondering how long she's been dealing white this all on her own. She's not a career, she's a counsellor for Christ's sake I hope Cas isn't with her so he has someone to care and take care of him whilst he's dealing with this shit. Stardust doesn't need that kind of shit on her shoulders whilst she's at uni and Cas should know that better than anyone else god he can be a selfish prick sometimes. "We'll all be here for him."

The doctor smiles. "Good. He needs all the support he can get."

"What exactly is his problem doc?"

"Sorry I can't tell you that only he can have patient confidentiality."

I nod. "I understand."

"We'll let you know when Sergeant Hollingway is awake and wanting visitors."

"Thanks doc."

He nods and leaves the room. The air is stifling in here. I look at Star. "Would you like to tell us what's going on with you and Cas from the beginning."

She sighs and nods. I guess we've got time to kill whilst we wait for our Sergeant to wake from his sleep.
