Ethan

I was glad Carly had decided to come and work alongside me and my team. I had some insecurities about it at first knowing Jonahtan and Kyler would do anything to stop her from working alongside me. They both knew why I had asked her to work with me and they didn't like it.

I really don't give a shite if they did or not. It's up to Carly if she wants to work here, not them and her interfering bitch of a best friend who happens to be married to my uncle. I know she would have a few choice words to say to Carly about me and give her a million reasons why not to work with me. The most important being I want her and will take her away from the two men she's residing with. And she would be right but I guess Carly isn't thinking along those lines or she wouldn't be here right now. Here with me instead of at the camp now it has reopened, they've no doubt had to find someone to replace her.

Caspian had called and warned me to be on my best behaviour even though he doesn't believe for one second I will ruin a relationship for my own selfish needs, but Cas knows very little about me and how long I've been thinking about this. Carly will be mine, it will just take time and a hell of a lot of persuasion. I know how to get the best results and before the end of this year is done Carly Evans will be mine and no longer theirs.

The first of our sessions will begin soon. I open the doors to see the first of the morning group flutter in my afternoon. There will be over thirty people here hopefully more as we establish ourselves more. Once they see all settled I make sure that they know about our new Trauma Counsellor. I will introduce her group to her in around thirty minutes making sure that she's got everything organised.

As soon as we're finished with the pleasantries everyone goes into their groups for Trauma Counselling, there are different rooms and counsellors for different life traumas I'm starting Carly with the ones closer to her heart then introducing her to some other trauma groups ones which include PTSD and different types of phobias they'll be gradually be brought in accordingly over the next twelve months she will be working alongside another counsellor that deals with those specific types of problems.

I ask the group to follow me to their area then I knock on Carly's door and ask her to come out to introduce herself to the morning group which will probably take her until mid-afternoon. She steps out, closing the door. I smile at her and reassure her that it's going to be okay as she looks a little nervous. I introduce her then she tells them a little about herself, some seem dubious but others are hanging on to her every word. I smile and nod at her to tell her that she's doing a great job. She then calls in her first counselee's. She has already got their case records. I hope she can see past the barriers they put up. I'm sure she will.

She closes the door behind them and I smile. One day I will have her.

Carly

The morning is going slowly I've seen about four out of twelve of my counselee's today and I must say it has been hard their walls are built so high I'm not sure if I can crack the exterior let alone knock the whole damn thing down but I'm willing to try these people need help and I'm going to give it to them whether they appreciate it or not. I work through lunch. I'm so damn hungry I lock my door and eat my lunch and have my juice. Slowly

Once I'm done I go to the restroom to relieve myself. Once I have. I wash my hands and take a good hard look in the mirror. My face looks full of stress and nerves. I've been a bag of nerves since I woke up this morning so much hao I'm surprised I didn't fuck any of this morning. I understand that everyone who comes here is well-occupied whilst the sessions run from one case to another.

I step out of the bathroom and sigh heading back into my office and taking a look at the next case folder before I call the next counselee in.

It's now getting on for six pm and almost the end of the day and I've managed to cram in all of the people I was meant to counsel today. I sit down in my chair and sigh as I place my last case file on the pile. This shit is a lot harder than it looks. I breathe out a sigh of relief that today has actually finished. Some were more respondents than others even if they were unsure if they could trust me or not so I had to remind them of the counselee's and councillors' code of conduct which is pretty much the same as a doctor and patient confidentiality if I tell another living soul about what is said in this room is be out on my ear and have to deal with the backlash of the lawsuits and maybe a prison sentence. No fucking thank you. Others just dived into their trauma a lot easier once they knew I had been in a situation not so much different to theirs.

A knock to my door had me heave another sigh. "It's open."

The door opened and Ethan peered around the door frame and smiled "so how did your first day go?"

"Stressful, but I got there in the end."

"Good I noticed you weren't in the cafeteria during lunch break."

"I was too busy getting through the counselee's to notice the time."

He frowned at me as if to say you need to take a break and eat.

"I ate in my office before I finished the last few before the afternoon cases began."

"Make sure you make time for your lunch break every councillor has a different one you need to eat tovatsy focussed."

"Yes dad," I said, smirking.

He laughed, shaking his head. "Maybe we could do lunch tomorrow?"

"Do we Eden have the same lunch break?"

"Tomorrow we do, so what do you say? Will lyo7 have lunch with me tomorrow?"

"Sure."

He smiles. "Are you finished for the day?"

"I am."

"Can I offer you a lift home?"

I shook my head. "That won't be necessary. I have my car."

He smiles and nods. "Well at least let me walk you to your car."

I shrug. "Sure."

I pull myself up grab my bag and we head out of my office. I close the door and lock the door.

We walk through the silent corridors "Are we the only ones here?"

"Weare, apart from the security."

I nod and we continue walking out. We bid goodnight to the security guard who locks the door behind us and we walk to my car. I get my keys out. "So I'll be seeing you tomorrow?"

"You will. Bright and early."

"So, today hasn't put you off?"

"Not at all. It has made me want to come back and push harder and try to become a better counsellor for whoever walks through those doors."

He smiles. "I made the right choice in hiring you Carly Evans. You'll fit right in here and in time everyone will gain your trust and hopefully won't need that extra counselling to deal with their trauma."

"Let's hope so."

I open the door of my car.

"I'll see you tomorrowCarly."

"You will not Ethan."

"Night Carly."

I smile and get into my car thowong my bag into the empty passenger chair, and close the door. I put my keys in the ignition and belt up before changing gear and wave to Ethan before I drive away.
