I can't believe that our father would be so cruel to someone so young and innocent. Liam had told me what our father was like to be around growing up, how he had ignored him and called him pathetic cause he wanted his father's attention and to interact with him, now this. I had never seen so many scars before he must've been getting them longer than he had told the court but he wouldn't say if he had or not. I knew my father was a piece of work but I never thought once that he would physically abuse his only child. Now I know differently if I knew this at the cabin I would never have listened to that prick and his pathetic excuses. I would've given him hell for what he had done to my brother. I don't care if the storm doner tried to lie his way out cause I knew I could trust my brother one hundred percent not to lie to me. Our sperm donor father on the other hand I couldn't trust anything that came out of his sick and twisted mouth. I can not understand why mom and dad were so reserved about telling me that he wanted to see me and he was allowed now I was sixteen but surely that's only if I had allowed him to.

I didn't have much choice in the matter as I understand that sperm donor is friends with the other sperm donor and those that work together stick together no matter what and I'm sure that prick will twist the truth once he's in that courtroom tomorrow the same as my sperm donor father. Yes we already know who's up next. They wanted me as a silent witness to give my testimony in a room and a voice over so no one knew who it was like hell I will. I'm there to represent my brother and I'll be damned to sit and talk through a voice over. I'll give my statement if events in the courtroom whether they like it or not. I haven't been able to talk to Liam for months cause they think I'll cooperate with the evidence against him and lie to save his ass. What do they take me for? I'm no fucking liar like those who are about to take the stand tomorrow.

Aiden and Kyler are already fast asleep. Jonathan walks into the room and hands me a hot mug of coco. To settle my nerves. I smile as a thanks. He sits next to me. "I know this is going to sound stupid, but how do you think tomorrow is going to go?"

I almost laughed. He's right, it does sound a little stupid but I answer anyway. "A shit show."

He nods.

"Those two pricks are taking the stand and they'll corrupt everything."

"You mean Ethan's father and yours."

"He's not my father, he's just a sperm donor and I'm sure Ethan would agree."

"I'm sure he would."

"My fath...the sperm donor will lie through his teeth and cause Liam of it all being bullshit and he never once laid a finger in him. And Ethan's dad I'd the greatest bullshiter of them all. He'll twist everything against Liam to make him look bad to make him look like a man who would kidnap an innocent girl with one thing in his mind to poison her against the father she was never allowed to see but he's paid for his sins and is ready to right a wrong."

"I agree."

"You do?"

"I do. We all know someone in this line of duty Carls. And we've all heard the stories of how wonderful your mother was when she decided to go it alone and build more camps for kids that had gone through what you had and her."

Oh, I didn't know that. I wonder if that's why she is always pushing me away?

"We all know about the trial concerning your father and how Ethan's father tried to get her but was too late because she fell in love with your stepfather."

That's true, I've heard it a few times but different versions. Everyone looks up to your mom Carly. But they also look up to creeps like Ethan's father and yours. But one day they'll come unstuck."
