"Now He's back and he'll brainwash her into thinking he's better than sliced bread and try to take her away from us cause he can.

Star nods and is about to ask who I'm talking about when the door bursts open.

We both look over and Kyler looks pissed. I guess his talk with Kyler was a bust.

"We need to do something fast or Ethan will take her away." Kyelr said stepping into the room how the hell had he found out I was here is beyond me.

"Thanks for joining us Kyler but this is a private conversation."

He glares a t Star. "If it's got anything to do with Carly I want to be part of it."

"Sure. Take a seat."

He nods, striding across the room and sits down not even acknowledging me. "So I've heard Jonathan's side of the problem with the relationship with Carly. What's your take on it?"

"He already knows my take on it!"

"He might but I don't. So talk to me Kyler, what's happening in your relationship with Carly?"

"Not much cause he's messing it up."

"Why do you think he's messing it up?"

"You've spoken to him, you should know."

"I'd like to hear it from you Kyler."

He sighs. "He's pulling away and it's pissing me off."

"Why do you think he's pulling away?"

"I don't know. We were all okay until six months back. We started working more and Carly wanted to spend time with us. I promised her that we would but, he..." Kyler cut his eyes towards me. "Wouldn't hear of it. I promised Carly we'd go away to the cabin for the weekend. She was all excited then he left us both down. We'll Carly more than me he she wanted to spend some quality time with the both of us. She wanted to talk and he told her that we were both busy working."

"And were you busy? Working."

"For most of it I wanted to go home to Carly but he made sure I stayed out with him."

"Now this is going to sound like I'm judging but I'm not. You're in a throuple but you're clearly not acting like you are there has to be give and take from all sides, not just one or two but all of them." She looks at both of us. "I'm going to ask you something personal depending on how you respond. It will let me know if you're lying or not and if you really want to make this work."

"Okay fire away."

"Are either of you seeing someone else other than Carly?"

"No I'm not." Kyler said.

She looked at me. "Jonathan you didn't answer straight away I can only assume. You're not as committed to Carly as Kyelr is."

"I never. I swear."

Star and Kyelr glared angrily at me. "How could you Jonathan? She's our centre, our yin to our yang? We agreed once we chose Carly as our third neither of us would stray."

"It should never have happened."

"But it did. Why Jonathan, she's our Angel, our Carly bear and you destroyed it with a fling?"

"I was feeling alone okay."

"You should've come and spoke to me fuck knows when you even had time to screw another girl we were together."

"I need someone to talk to and things just got out of hand."

"Well if we haven't already lit her we will have now you fuck tard."

"You can't tell her."

"No I'm not you are. And you're going to tell her exactly why you chose to cheat on someone so precious to us."

"I wanted more okay. She keeps pulling back making up excuses not to go into the next level of our relationship!"

"Well I guess she's not the only one because all you've done for six months is make excuses not to share your time with her. It's no wonder that she wants out. You're going to lose her Jonathan and I'm not going to stand by and let that happen. I want her even if you don't."

"I do."

"Well start showing it and stop making up any excuses not to be with her."

"I will."

"So we'll take her away this weekend and air our differences out. It might not be enough to fix our relationship straight away but it's a start."

"I already told you I can't this weekend I.."

"Stop with the bullshit Jonathan you said you wanted to fix things with Carly yet you're or making up excuses again work can wait unless it's more important than Carly."

"You know it isn't bu.."

"Didn't you hear what I said when I came in? If we don't do something now we'll lose Carly to Ethan."

"Is this about the proposition he made her?"

"Partly, but he made it quite clear he was going to take Carly out of here and away from us."

Star looked more pissed than Kyler had when he stormed in. "Well you wanted to know how you were going to do well now you have your answer. You all need time together to talk about what's going wrong in your relationship and how to make it right. You all need to go to the cabin this weekend no ifs no buts no damn excuses why you think it's not a good idea this weekend because you'll use that excuse every fuckng weekend. Go and reclaim your love for Calry, make her see that you're the guys she fell in love with and wanted to spend her life with. You all deserve to be happy. Make it happen or you're going to lose her one way or another."

We nod and pull ourselves up. "Thanks star."

"My pleasure now, go, and get your girl. I don't want to see her end up with that douche."

We both nod and head for the door Kyler opens it and steps out. Star looks at me, her eyes showing anger in them. "I'm disappointed in you Jonathan. I thought I knew you better than this. You always were the love struck puppy when it came to Carly. You'd do anything for her. I can't imagine what has happened in these past six years for you to change how you feel."

"I still love her but like I said there was something missing. I made a mistake and I won't do it again."

"You best not or I'll be cutting your dick and balls off unless Carly does first she loves you and I'm sure she had her reasons for why she wanted to make sure she was doing what she thought was right and ready for what came with whatever plans you have."

I nod. "I'll try my best but the best isn't always good enough."

"Use the weekend away as a starting point and make sure you talk about everything and don't leave anything out. If she finds out about your infidelity from someone else you'll lose her indefinitely. Kyelr loves her and wants this to work so should you. No more excuses Jonathan if you want this to truly work out you need to be honest and truthful with her even if the truth hurts like a bitch you can get past it."

"I will thanks again, Star. You're a great friend and a great listener."

She smiles. "It's my job to listen and I am all of your friends, but Carly is my BFF. She comes first and if I think you're hurting her in any way I will intervene. She's been through a lot. She needs some happiness in her life right now. Ethan isn't that happiness, you and Kyler are so dont mess it up okay?"

"Okay." I smile and walk away as she closes the door behind her with my mind up we're going to the cabin this weekend and we're airing all the shit out that's stopped us from being close in the past six months I just hope sheep understands and one day forgives me for Boeing suc han asshole toward her. I know it will take Ky a long time to forgive me for pulling him away from Carly when there was no need. We need to get back on track and make sure Carly believes that we love her and we are better than Ethan will ever be.
