He Got In Her Head

I wipe my eyes furiously. I should have never let that happen. I don't even know what I was thinking. I wasn't thinking, this shit can never happen again but I know what I've got to do I don't like it but it's better than kyler and Jonathan ever finding out I've cheated on them with Ethan it will break them.

I drive furiously through the busy streets dodging cars as I stop at the lights and zoom off once the light turns green.

The tyres screech as I come to a halt in front of the home I share with the guys I can't look at them right now I'll go to my room and get my shit and get the fuck out.

Carly breezes through the house that quick both of us are shocked we've never seen her move that quickly she emerges into the living area with her suitcases. Ten minutes later we look at each other with concern etched in our faces. "What's going on Carly? What's with the suitcases?"

"I'm sorry guys this isn't working I'm leaving."

"Bu..bu.."

She hauls the suitcases out of the living areas and out of the door. We can't lose her not now. I shake my head snapping out of the initial shock of her saying she's leaving. Jonathan is still in shock. "I'm going after her."

He nods without saying a single word. I ran out of the house. This can't be happening. I get outside as she is just about to get in the car. "What's going on angel?"

She looks at me though her swollen teary eyes. "I can't do this anymore Ky."

"Why, I thought we were on the same page."

"So do I. But I can't. I just can't."

"If it's to do with Jonathan we'll sort it and talk it out and if need be I'll leave with you."

She shakes her head. "No. It's not fair on you. He's your friend and I can't get in between the both of you. I'm sorry."

"Bu.."

"I'm sorry, Ky. tell Jonathan I'm sorry but I have to do this it's not fair on either of you. You need someone better than me."

"No we don't please don't do this angel."

"I'm sorry." She said getting in the car and driving away.

Fuck he got in her head.

As I closed the door behind me I looked at Jonathan and I shook my head. I couldn't believe it, she left us. His eyes were watery so were mine something must've gone on between her and Ethan and ehr that she couldn't tell us."

Jonathan opened his arms and I stepped into them he wrapped his arms hugging me. I wrapped my arms around him. We hadn't hugged in such a long time. "I'm sorry I fucked all this up if I hadn't she would never have gone."

"It's not you Jonathan, it's that prick. Everything was fine until she returned to work."

I felt cold tears drip onto my shoulder. "You think he did this to get her away from us."

"Absolutely something happened and she's too scared to tell us so she left."

"I'm going to kill the bastard."

"Me too."

"I really loved her, Ky."

"So did I J." I say as the cold tears fell off my face.

We stayed like that until we parted. "You don't think he told her about you know what?"

"I don't think so she would've confronted us and not walked out on us."

I hoped.

He nods. "Let's eat and try not to think about what that bastard did to our girl."

I nod, not knowing if I can stomach anything right now but I'll try."

I don't know how I ended up here but I did. I kept driving not knowing where to go, but I ended up on my best friend's door step. Star opened the door and I burst into tears. She pulled me into a hug. "What did they do?"

I shook my head.

"Come in I'll get Cas to get you a drink, something strong."

I just nod.

She closes the door behind her. "Cas Carly is here, make her a strong drink, will you?"

"Sure babe."

She guides me to the sofa and we sit down. Caspian comes in a couple of minutes after and hands me the glass of whisky. I thank him and he smiles sitting down. I gulp it down and place the empty glass down on the coffee table.

"Damn Calry what's wrong with you?"

"I ruined everything."

"I'm sure you didn't."

"I did."

"Tell me what happened and I'll be the judge of that."

"It started a year ago when I came back off the program that Ethan put me on. I decided I wanted to go alone but I had to wait for my exam results. The guy over the program offered to help me get started once I got my results. J and Ky were both happy that I had decided to venture alone and not work for Ethan. Ethan on the other hand wasn't too pleased he went mental telling me he wouldn't let me go and I wasn't allowed to leave his side but I couldn't be there anymore knowing what he wanted he kissed me that night and stormed out of my office. After that it was little niggles my way about how he could make me happier than J and Ky could and that he could give me what they couldn't.

Then tonight it all blew up after work hours . His sergeant major came to see him and he thanked me for keeping my trap shut about the tiff I had with him and I. I told him I wouldn't ruin his business because of it. He seemed grateful so grateful he kissed me. I pulled away and told him I was with Ky and J but he began all his bullshit again." I stopped composing myself to tell them the rest.

"I told you this was going to happen, I told both of you." Star said, angrily.

"Let Carly finish, then you can go off on the both of us as much as you like." Cas jumped in before she continued her rant for once. I was grateful for him keeping her told you so's at bay. He looked at me. "You can continue now, Carls."

I nodded glad he could calm my best friend that quick so I could continue. "I insisted I was happy with what I had and he insisted I wasn't then he kissed me again."

"At least you didn't kiss him back."

I swallowed hard and the tears slid down my face. I nodded.

"Oh my god Carls what were you thinking?"

"I wasn't."

Star slid up to me and wrapped her arms around me. "Do Ky and Jonathan know?"

I shake my head. "I couldn't bring myself to tell them after everything that happened with J so I headed home and went straight to my room and packed my shit. Before I left I told them it was over. I couldn't face what I had done. It would've broken them and us so I decided to leave."

"Oh Carly I'm so sorry. I should've seen this shit coming a mile off but didn't."

I nodded sniffling. Caspian offered me a tissue. I took it off him and thanked him, wiping my tears and blowing my nose.

"I'm sorry, Carly. Star tried to warn me about Ethan and his intentions towards you. I waved them off just thinking he wanted you to work with him not try and ruin your relationship so he could have you all to himself."

I half smiled at Cas knowing this wasn't his fault.
