"The only person you've got to worry about is him." He said, pointing over at a dark-haired boy with blue streaks in his hair.

He was standing next to Kaden. I gulped. "Who is he?"

"That would be Christopher, Damon's younger brother. He knows what happened here last year and wanted to come here this year to see what the fuss was all about. He's who you should watch out for because he plays nasty."

I nod.

"Who's your brother?"

"The guy he's standing next to."

"Damn, you better hope he doesn't spill about last year or things could get nasty."

I nod understanding that the shit would hit the fan if this kid even talked to Kaden. He'd know about the incident at camp last year during the games, and he would want to know why I hadn't told him. Shit this day just got fuckin worse. I had put the incident behind me. Now I know I had to relive it through a guy that wasn't even involved or even here last year.

"Chin up, Evans, we aren't all as brutal as Damon."

I looked at him seriously. No one's as brutal as Damon. This was going to end up in a serious fuck up if the guy met with Kaden and let it slip.

Kaden

The guy next to me keeps smirking my way and winking, what the hell? Has the dude got a problem with his eyes or something?

"Christopher."

"Kaden."

He smiles. No grins like what the actual fuck? "First year here. You?"

"Nope, just filling in for my sis. She chose not to take part this year."

"Is that even aloud?"

"Fuck knows Caspian agreed to let me take her place. So here I am."

"Who's your sister, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Carly Evans." I said, looking around, spotting her with a dude who I didn't recognize as one of her friends from camp. He's sitting way too close to her for comfort. I grit my teeth if that dude is coming on to her, I'm going to deck him camp or no fuckin camp.

"Where is she?" He waved his hands in front of me.

I looked at him. "Hugh?"

"Your sister, where is she?"

"Over there."

He looks over and grins a most evil grin, one I'm not fuckin comfortable with. "My brother mentioned her. They competed against each other last year."

"Really?"

He turns back grinning at me. He's beginning to irk me. "Yeah, so how about it?"

"How about what?"

"Me and you have a little competition to see who's the best of the best."

I grin. This guy doesn't know who he's just put himself up against. "Sure, why not?"

He shoves his hand out in front of me. "May the best man win."

I grinned and grasped his hand, shaking it. "And he will."

You're full of yourself. I like it." He grins, rubbing his thumb over my knuckles before he lets go of my hand. Strange.

"Good morning campers."

I guess that's our cue. We both turned around. Sergeant Caspian Hollingway stands before all of us. "As you are all aware, the games are going to be a little different this year. We're all staying on this side of the river. It was decided by those in the two camps that it was in the best interest of the campers to hold it here this year, then camp Hollingway the next year. It will be rotated each year from now on unless the camp board decides differently."
