Kaden
"I'd like to know what happened."
"Tell him Carly he needs to know."
I looked at her friends. "You know?"
They nod. "We do, but it's not our place to say."
I nod. I understand completely if Carly wants to share what happened, it's up to her, and it's best I don't hear it second hand. Well, third, now that Duffus gave me the second-hand version.
She sighs and looks me straight in the eyes. I can see the pain, hurt and the realization that she has to relive the past all over again. I squeeze her hands in mine, letting her know that I will never think any less of her no matter what she tells me.
"This time last year, when the games were hosted, we not only did them here, but at Camp Hollingway too."
I nod.
"Everything was going fine as things could go as my bully was with the other camp competing. Alijah McKenley."
"The guy who helped us find you?"
She nodded. "I guess."
"What had he got to do with any of this?"
"Everything." She looks at me knowing that I find it hard to believe that anyone would bully her. "I know what you're thinking, Kaden, but mom shipped you off to a different school, so you had no idea what was happening at the one I was in. If it weren't for Aiden I'm not even sure that I would be here right now or coping as well as I do."
"I know I don't know what went on at that school, just that you had to be sent to a camp to make you a better person. Please Carly, tell me what happened, so I can fit the missing pieces together and help me understand why you were sent here and not the bullcrap mom and dad gave me."
She nods. "It was like hell Kaden. Every day was worse than the last. Alijah and his friends were always tormenting me. I had no idea that mom was friends with his father until they came over for supper. That was the only night I thought that maybe we could be friends. But I was wrong. His attitude turned. Once we were at school. The next day he said some nasty shit about me and my dad and I flipped out, punching him, and he called me a psycho bitch and the head of school said I had to go to camp to get rid of some of my anger and become a better person."
"He deserved it. Carls don't think any different."
"Alijah and his friends got the same punishment, but I had to do two extra weeks here, then I found out on the week of the games he was sent to Camp Hollingway where Ethan and his friends were, they must've saw an opportunity with him for something cause he was up their asses literally."
"Was that guy who was talking to you one of them?"
She nods. And my temper flies.
Don't Kaden whatever you're thinking, don't we've got past it. Even if others haven't."
"I won't for now until I'm done eith thst fuck face for everything he said and done."
She nods.
"So was that when they.... they...."
"Kidnapped me? Yes."
"What happened?"
"We were running through the woods, and I was paired with Charlie, but he stopped complying. He had stitch or something. I left him though I wasn't supposed to. I continued running, then Damon Mcalaghan ran beside me talking to me. Conrad soon caught up with us when we were far enough away from the other's and in the middle of the fucking woods. Then everything around me went black until I came around in a run-down hut where Alijah and Ethan were. They both weren't very happy; they both looked at me with pure hatred. I found out that Ethan despised my excitable cause because his father had a thing for ours when she was around my age, before she went and married the sperm donor. Then she and dad got together. He was bitter that he and his mom were treated like trash because he never wanted either of them, but had to do with them cause mom was with dad. His friends were only following orders. Alijah just hated me because I stood up to him and hit him because he had all these photos of Aidan and a girl from class claimed he was going with her whilst I was at camp when I was finally found by Kyler, Jonathan and Caspian. They all got sent back to the army and their stripes were taken off them, and they had to earn them against. When I returned home, I found out I wasn't the only one who had been duped by Alijah. Aidan had aswell. He had somehow managed to take photos of me and the guys and sent them to Aidan and made up some bullshit that we were in a three-way."
I wanted to laugh but now wasn't the time. "I'm sorry Carly, I never got told."
"No one knew about it, just those here we chose to keep it to ourselves. I just wanted to forget about it. I had until it was all brought up again."
"Don't worry Carly poo. I'm going to sort this out, starting by making sure that damn little prick doesn't win the games tomorrow."
"Then what?"
"You'll see."
She gulped and nodded. No one, and I mean no one hurts my sister, or they will pay dearly.
"We best go, Carly Bear, it's getting late and we al leave to be up early to see Kaden bear kick that little fuckers ass." Jonathan chuckled.
"Are you going to be okay, Carly bear?" Kyler asks.
She nods.
They both hug her and tell her to get some sleep.
She says she will, but I doubt it will happen.
I pulled her into a hug. "Next time no secrets Carly poo."
"Okay." She stutters through her horse voice. "I'll see you bright and early."
"You will."
I let go of her, kissing her brow, and we all left, closing the door behind us and walking to our huts. "I hope she's going to be okay."
"She'll be fine, she's tougher than you think."
I nod. I know Carly is a tough cookie, but this has to have left deep scars, ones she won't completely forget but bury deep inside her, so she won't ever have to revisit them.
"Well, we'll see you bright and early, buddy."
"You will."
They both head into their cabin and I continue to mine a silhouette standing outside my cabin leaning against the wall as I approach it. Once I am close enough, I notice it's someone I'm not really interested in seeing right now. "What the hell are you doing here Christopher?"
He grins. "I just came to wish you luck tomorrow."
"Now you have, you can go."
He stands his ground, not moving. "So I guess she told you what happened last year?"
"That's none of your fuckin business, now leave."
He steps forward. "I will, but I'll tell you one thing, I always get what I want."
"And what exactly is that?"
He grins, grabbing me, pulling me close, smashing his lips on mine, kissing me. His dick is rubbing onto mine and his hard on. He groans, trying to push his tongue. What in hell? Fuckin no.
I pushed him away. And he smirks, giving me the answer I don't want. "You." He smirks, letting go of me. "Good luck tomorrow." He winks and walks away.
What the actual hell just happened? I snatch at the door handle and yank the door open, storming in. I slammed the door behind me. Who the hell does this guy think he is? Can't he take the hint I'm straight and not interested and even if I was gay I still wouldn't be fuckin interested.
I tore my clothes off and dropped to the bed. I'm so damn exhausted I need to sleep and kick his ass tomorrow.
