Carly
I can't believe today is our last day. Today I'm finally free and I'll be heading to camp once I sign off for good. I understand Alijah and his band of misfits are heading for the army barracks to begin their training. I don't think any of them will last long but I'll give credit where credit's due. I just hope they come out they will be better men. I haven't spoken to Liam for almost a month as I have been studying for my exams. All I know is that he's out today and I'm looking forward to seeing him. Not many people know his release is today, only Aiden and I know. Aiden is still in class so he won't see Liam until he returns tonight.
I've been waiting for what seems like hours to get signed off and now I'm finally in and getting signed off.
Liam
I walk out of the prison gates a happier man now I'm finally out. My friend is picking me up. I've told him all about Carly and he agrees that I should get her away from here as far as possible so our father doesn't find her and spread his malicious lies cause that's all they are. He's a serial liar. I was only five when he got sent down so I had no clue on what was going on just that he and mom had separated and there was a new guy she wanted me to meet. They were friends at first until they became closer. She introduced him as "a friend" His name was Caleb he was younger than Mom but I don't care he was more of a father to me than my own. He always made time for me, played games with me and took me camping and showed me how to defend myself. That's how I ended up behind bars.
They've been married a long time now. My younger brother is fifteen and their only son. With complications on both sides they decided it's best to stick to one and not have any more.
Carly is my sister by my father's blood. My mom and Caleb sat me down at sixteen to tell me the growing details of my father's devotion not only to my mom but to Hope as well. I remember that conversation well.
"Sit down honey, we need to talk."
"Sure, Mom."
I sat down, my Mom and Caleb sat opposite her hand in his as if he were comforting her. This didn't look good.
"I want to talk to you about your father."
"I already told you, Mom, Caleb is the only dad I'll ever have, he was just a sperm donor."
Caleb grinned trying to hide it but failing.
"You're not helping Caleb."
"Sorry, baby and. Continue."
I rolled my eyes and grinned. She'd been so much happier since Caleb had come into our lives and I had accepted him. What was there not to accept he was the father I never had. I had always called him dad. And he was that waste of space that was never a father to me, just the jizz that made me. I'm glad I'm nothing like him.
"Your father was an army corporal. I met him when I was young. He was charming and flirty, my friends all liked him at the time."
Well, there had to be something that changed their minds.
"We all hung together while he was in the base. He was the good ball of the brotherhood ye was in. Soon I was falling deep and that's when everything went downhill. You've got to understand I was young and dumb. I believe he was the guy I wanted to spend my life with. My friends tried to warn me about him. They reckoned he was a womaniser and out to get what he could and once he did he would be gone. I didn't believe them. I wish I had. Over the years I was with your father my friends disappeared not wanting to be around when it all came crashing down. They told me that he had flirted with them and that he had tried to get them into bed with them. We argued I called them all liars.
