Carly
Everything has been so surreal over the Christmas holidays. I never thought in a million years Aiden would think or even believe that I would chest in him but he had. For a second time. This time it was what he saw with his own eyes in front of him not in a fuckin picture. I guess it did look kinda bad but Kaden didn't help at all by laughing instead of helping me. Jonathan and Kyler were fuckers for teasing even if they meant nothing by it they'd cause a lot of t of problems in the future with girls and their boyfriends if they acted like that around them they'd either get decked or slapped even worse they could break couples up which Aiden I almost had cause were both as stubborn as one another when it comes to apologies and seeing the biggest picture.
Jonathan and Kyler had apologised on countless occasions but what is done is done. Done and dusted on my book. Aiden had swallowed his pride and came to me and apologised and done everything to make things right between us.
Jonathan and Kyleer wouldn't be at the camp until March when the kids began to return so for now until the beginning of March. For now I'm here at the children's centre helping out. I had my assessment a few days ago and I passed with flying colours. I was so pleased I couldn't wait to tell everyone and was pleased that I had passed. He said I was natural and good with kids. I had that certain understanding that was needed for a counsellor. Mom and Dad were ecstatic so was Kaden though he barely said anything but congratulations which sounded cold and heartless so unlike my baby brother. He hadn't been the same since I had agreed to give me and Aiden one last chance. He and Aiden got on but they butted heads a lot.
It hurt to know he wasn't as enthusiastic as he had always been. We were so close up until now. He was going to college the next year. I hope he got out of this stink before then. I wanted my baby brother back. I called Kyler and Jonathan on facetime. I knew they were both busy with their schedules before camp started again. I missed them being around to talk to them.
Their faces popped up on the screen. I almost burst out laughing at how close their faces were to the camera which brought every pigment up close, every freckle, every scar and their dimples that made them look younger than they were when they smiled big. I wouldn't tell them that. "Hey guys."
"Hey Carly gear now are you?"
"Great, can you move back away from the camera or you're going to stack the lens." I chuckled.
"Cheek," Kyler said, smiling.
They both moved further back so I could see them properly. "That's better now you don't look like a giant zit."
They chuckled. "You are getting brave, Carly Bear wait until you get to camp."
"Is that a threat or promise?" I laughed.
"Both."
I stopped laughing. "So how are you guys?"
"Busy there's so much to do before the season starts."
I nod in agreement. The season begins in March and ends in October. They have to prepare schedules for each session and the children there. They have to accommodate every Child's needs as they can be very different. I had found that out once I began my training as a counsellor. Not every child did the intensive training due to medical reasons but they took part in the not-so-harsh tasks at the camp. "How about you Carly bear, we miss you but you don't call unless you have something to share."
True.
"So, how's everything going there at the centre? Is it going good?"
"Better than good. I just had my first observation and the tutor was extremely pleased with me."
