New Beginnings

I was so happy that Carly was back. We haven't seen her for two whole weeks as she's been doing exams. We've both missed her . The house wasn't the same without her here, it was too quiet and now we know it will be filled with chatter and laughter ether about our day and hopefully sharing the same bed indefinitely.

We pulled up outside the home we all shared and got out of the jeep. Jonathan pulled up behind us. We clicked on the alarms for both vehicles.

"Close your eyes angel."

"What have you two planned?"

"No questions angel now close your eyes."

Her eyes flutter closing. I place my hands over her eyes and Jonathan unlocks the door heading in to light the candles. We prepared the food before we headed out. Johnathan heads to the kitchen to grab the plates of roast, veg and potatoes as to guide Carly in.

"What's going on Ky?"

"Hang on in there a little longer Angel."

Jonathan places the plates down on the table and I kick the door to close it and lean over to her ear. "Are you ready angel?"

She nods.

I take my hands off her eyes. "You can open your eyes now, angel."

She slowly opens her eyes

Jonathan closed the door behind us. The candles were flickering Carly smiled. "Do you like it, angel?"

"I do. Maybe I should go away more often."

"No." Both Jonathan and I said together.

She grinned. "Just kidding."

"Good. Shall we?"

Calry smiles and nods. We take her hands in our and lead her to the candlelit table with our supper on it. We both pull out the chair and she smiles. We let go of her hands and she sits down gracefully Jonathan pours the wine as I sit down. He grins and sits next to Carly. "Here's to new beginnings." He says picking up his glass of wine, raising it in a toast.

We both pick ours up and clink glasses with him joining in with the toast. To new beginnings and getting rid of trash.

We all smile and take a sip of the wine, placing the glasses down and begging to talk about how Carly's last few weeks were there. We know it was hell for us.

Then she drops the biggest bomb ever. "I've decided I want to work for myself and not anyone else."

We looked at her in shock.

"What you said before I agreed to go on the course that I could do so much more with my life. For that I need to start fresh. I know it will take time but I want no I need to do this for myself to find the real me. I need to prove not just to everyone but to myself that I can do this without anyone watching me and telling me what I'm doing right or wrong."

"Wow, that's a fantastic Carly bear." Jonathan says grinning happily knowing she will no longer have to work for Ethan and we won't have to worry about him trying to get into her head and take her from us.

"I'm happy you've decided to take that step, Angel, but what about Ethan?"

Jonathan glares at me as if to say can't you jsut be fuckin happy once in your life instead of being an ass.

And then the fuckin pin drops.

Complete and pure silence.

"I know you both won't like this, but I'll be working with him until everything's gone through. I have help if I need to to set up and I think I'm going to take it. I know Ethan won't like it but he has no choice in it. I want something of my own, something I can call my own without looking over my shoulder to see if I'm doing the right thing by others. He'll have to live with my decision whether he likes it or not."

I nod and smile at our Carly bear, our angel has finally grown a pair of wings and is ready to fly away and make a better future for herself.

I squeeze her hand. "I'm so damn proud of you angel. I believe in you and I know you can do it."

Jonathan squeezed her other hand. "We both believe in you Carly bear, we know you can do it and we'll be there with you every step of the way."

She smiles at us. "Thanks guys, that means so much to me."

She kisses us both on the lips and damn I'm hard. "I think we should take this to somewhere more private."

"I agree."

We both look at Carly and she smiles and nods. We all pull ourselves up from the table. We take Carly's hands in ours and lead her to the bedroom where we strip naked and make love all night. I hope this is one of many nights we share together.

Ethan

Carly should be back any day now and I quite frankly can't wait to see her. I've been going insane thinking about her. I even spoke to Alijah a week ago knowing Carly would be finished next week after her last exam. She's made me so proud even though I will never show it. I'm proud that she came through it all and stuck it out until the end. Most give up without the first week finding it too hard to handle. I had done all my training in the army. I'm qualified in mechanics as well as social work. I had done the same program that Carly was on once I knew I was coming home and opening up my own centre. I passed with flying colours. I not only manage this place but I councell to.

I called Alijah and smiled at him about what I felt for Carly and what I was planning to do next. He listened intently and sighed more than necessary. "Are you sure about this Ethan? You're talking about a relationship?"

"It's not normal Alijah."

"Maybe not to you and me, but to them it is."

"Who's side are you on?"

He sighed. "No one's, Ethan. I'm just trying to make you see you're about to break a relationship up for your obsession with Carly. An unhealthy one at that."

"What exactly is that supposed to mean? Alijah?"

"Oh come on as if you don't already know."

"I don't, maybe you need to spell it out for me."

"Fine I will." He sighs heavily. "You don't want Carly because you fell in love with you, you want her for two reasons, two unhealthy reasons. One You're obsessed with her and want to prove that you can have the girl who is the daughter of the girl your father wanted and Two you want to take her away from two guys she's in love with because none of you get along and you want to avenge them somehow, you don't think their relationship is normal and you think she will be happier on a normal relationship with you cause you're oh so perfect when your not you've got a hidden agenda for everything Ethan."

"Are you quite finished?"

"No I'm not it's all going to blow up in your fucking face Ethan do everyoen a favour and forget abotu carly and move on find someone who is available."

"I don't want anyone else, I'm having her at all costs."

"Then please for the love of god be careful."

"I will."

Alijah

It's been a week since I had a very awkward phone call with Ethan. I knew he would never back down. He isn't capable of such a thing. He doesn't seem to get how many people will get hurt in this if he follows whatever plan he has through. Carly and I have come to an understanding over the years but I can't sit back and let him ruin something cause he simply can. There's something wrong with him upstairs I swear. He has no compassion and no feelings for others he is so much like his father I'm afraid he will get what he wants unlike his father and crush it leaving Carly alone to pick up the pieces cause she would have lost everything because of him. He's out to destroy her whole world to drag her into his. He will if he has his way. I have spoken beerfly to Carly as I'm on tour and it's hard to call anyone out here. She's up to date with what I've told her about Ethan and his obsessive attraction to him and to be careful around him. She has assured me she will be on her guard. Let's hope he forgets about his ridiculous plank and her all together but Ethan is an opportunist and a lot of other things so let's hope she stays strong and doesn't fall for his bullshit.
