Forbidden

22. Saudi Arabian GP

Liv had been texting with Charles, they talked when they say each other in the paddock, and they had been having a few meals together as a group, but they hadn't kissed again. In Saudi they simply couldn't show any PDA, it could get them in huge trouble, although they weren't big on PDA anyways. After free practice he had come over to her room and they watched a movie together but afterwards Charles went to bed and simply pecked her on the lips. 

The next morning Olivia was so tired she didn't hear her alarm and hadn't woken up in time to go up to the roof with Max. He sent her a text wondering if everything was okay and she apologized and told him she didn't hear her alarm since she had slept quite late.

Now the morning of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix had finally arrived. Olivia was really excited since Checo got pole on the race, he was starting first on the grid. Next to him on the front row was Charles, then Carlos in third and unfortunately for Max he was starting fourth, so he had been in a crappy mood since the day before.

Olivia decided she shouldn't miss the sunrise again that day, so she woke up a few minutes earlier, just to get there before Max. When she got there the sky was still a little dark and Max was nowhere to be found. She thought that that morning she should try something different, so once the sky started changing colors she laid down on the ground, so all she could see was the sky. 

Max got there just when the sky was turning pink, the perfect moment. He saw Olivia laying on the ground, she didn't move when she heard him come in, he walked over to her and laid on the ground next to her. They laid there in silence for a while, watching the sky change its colors.

"I think I prefer looking at the horizon" said Max breaking the silence.

"Shhhh" she said lightly pushing one of his shoulders, clearly kidding "we are experiencing something new" she said.

He turned to look at her and she turned to look at him. His blue eyes looked so warm next to the golden and pink lights of the sky, it was like the ocean during a summer sunset. She wanted to swim in those waters forever. She had to pull herself out of them, breaking the silence "but yeah the horizon is totally better" she said before she got up and started walking over to the ledge. Max giggled and stood up to follow her.

At the garage everybody was getting ready, Olivia walked over to Checo's driver room.

"It's show time Chequito" she said, then she hugged him tight and said "you can do this, you got this" she said in a determined manner looking straight at him. 

His face was serious, he was focused "I got this, yes, thanks Liv" he said nodding to himself. 

"I love you, I'll be watching you from the garage" she said with a reassuring smile. 

Checo smiled while pulling up the top of his racing suit "Love you too Liv". 

Olivia walked out to go get ready to take some pictures of the drivers once they got out of their rooms when she heard Max call out to her from his room "Olivia?".

She sneaked her head inside his room, he was by himself, the top part of his racing suit hanging from his waist.

"Hey, are you ready?" asked Olivia.

"Yeah, I have to be" he said pacing a little "shit I really need this win" he said.

"Max it's just the second race, there's still time" she reassured him.
