Max decided to stay in Miami the morning after Olivia's birthday. It was true he wanted to stay away from Ashley as much as he could, he resented her for keeping him apart from Olivia. Which made it really hard to be there for their baby, since he couldn't stand the baby's mother. Also, after what Olivia had told him about her friends and Pato, he wanted to stick around just in case she could need him while she was in Vegas.
He knew he probably shouldn't be texting her; but he felt this magnetic pull towards her, and at that precise moment he thought their relationship had never been more real, even if it was just a friendship. He was just happy to receive those little texts from Olivia. She would send him a picture of her lunch during the day, Max would send her pictures of the sunrises as she was falling asleep after going out. She said that was 'the best way to fall asleep ever'. She was probably drunk but still...
It was now Saturday, Olivia had been in Vegas almost the entire week, she was bound to leave soon. She hadn't uploaded anything to social media but then she added a story to her close friends, Max was surprised to see he had made the list, that was probably new since it was the first time he had seen her close friends content. On the photo there was a group of people having brunch, clinking mimosas and a lot of them were tagged on the photo. Olivia wasn't even in it. Max's curiosity got the better of him and he went into the profiles of the rest of them and looked at their stories.
They were mostly selfies, club lights, glasses clinking, some pictures tagging Olivia for her birthday week. Then he decided to go into Pato's profile, and his stories made Max see red.
