Chapter 83: Dui's Game

"Before we play, let me tell you how my customized chess pieces were made," napatingin ako kay Mour at masama siyang ngumiti. His chess board is made of transparent glass and a black stone instead of the typical black and white tiles they usually use to play in chess boards.

Magkatapat kaming dalawa habang nakaupo naman sa kaliwa ko si Spade at sa kanan si C-El. Nakaayos na ang mga chess pieces sa board nito at isa-isang inilahad ni Mour sa akin. Every chess piece is new to my eyes. Kumikintab ang mga ito.

"My Queen is made up of blue diamond. King is made up of Ruby," nakaturo siya sa king na nasa tapat niya and that is color red, "The Rook here is made of Emerald," kaya pala green 'yon. So every color of his chess piece clearly symbolizes the diamond they were made of.

"My knight is made of sapphire. Bishop with amethyst and my pawn for black diamonds. While on the other hand," inilahad niya ang mga chess pieces na katapat ko.

"Those are your pieces, clearly made of clear diamonds and stones," tinignan ko ang mga ito isa-isa. Ang mga nasa side ko, they were transparent. Walang kulay ang mga chess pieces ko samantalang ang mga nasa side ni Mour ay iba-iba ang kulay. Ang pinagka-pareho lang ng chess pieces namin ay kumikintab ang mga ito.

"I am the black side and you are white. Shall we?"

My eyes almost glistened habang tinitignan ang kabuuan ng chess board ni Mour. Kumikinang ang lahat, lalo na ang mga nasa parte niya, "Sigurado ka ba talaga na maglalaro tayo?" I asked in hesitance.

"Yes, what else? May kailangan ka sakin, right? Hart always challenge me with his Ace of Hearts whenever I need assistance, so I assume you'd also do the same. You have to bet with me, Shein. Ganito ang patakaran namin sa VCC."

Tinignan ko si Spade at ngumiti lang siya sabay tango sa akin. As if he's giving me comfort eh kahit naman gawin niya 'yon, I am not good in playing chess. Mukhang talo ako kay Mour.

"Come on, I'm waiting for your first move," napatingin ako kay Mour at napalunok na tinignan ang kumikinang na chess board.

I lift up the pawn as my first move at napatingin dito nang maramdaman ang kakaunting bigat nito na parang bato, "Are these real diamonds and stones?" wala sa sariling tanong ko.

Tumango si Mour, "Yes. They weigh a bit heavier."

Tumango ako at iginalaw na ang hawak na pawn, in front of the king forward two squares from f2 to f3.

Nag-umpisa akong manginig nang ngumisi ng masama si Mour, "Are you sure with that move?" he took a pawn, moved it in front of his queen forward two squares, from e7 to e5.

Naramdaman ko naman ang paglapit ni Spade sa tainga ko, "Pag-isipan mo ng mabuti ang galaw mo."
