McKayla is in the kitchen with Oliver watching as he makes a sandwich, Chase walks in with a bucket.

"Hey Chase, what're you doing?" Oliver asks "Oh, I just reinforced all the windows with an impenetrable polymer I designed to keep this place safe from any threat." Chase smiles "How thoughtful" McKayla smiles "Thank you" Chase smirks.

"Oh yeah? Well..." Oliver holds up sandwich "I just made myself a grilled cheese." Oliver says "Very impressive too" McKayla smiles gently at him.

Skylar walks in "Mm, something smells good." Skylar says "Yep. That's my sandwich." Oliver says "No, smells more like reinforced polymer." Skylar says, McKayla smells "It smells really good indeed. Obviously Chase handpicked the scent of this" McKayla smiles.

Oliver gives Skylar a little laugh "Oh, you!" He accidentally fires his hydrokinesis at her. Skylar gasps.

"Oliver!" Skylar says angryly "I'm sorry! It was an accident." Oliver sighs "I'm still trying to get the hang of my powers." Oliver says.

"Oh, you poor thing. It must be so hard for you." Skylar says still angryly "Skylar, tha... that's not what I meant." Oliver says "No, no, no. Thank you once again for reminding me how you have powers and I don't." Skylar akes Oliver's sandwich and leaves.

Chase and McKayla watch her leave and look at Oliver "Wow that escalated fast" McKayla says "Alien chicks... Am I right?" Oliver laughs nervously.

"Wait, but why doesn't she have powers?" McKayla asks "Yeah, I still don't get it. If Skylar was born a superhero, then why didn't she have any powers?" Chase asks.

"She used to, but a human-turned-mutant called the Annihilator drained them out of her. Put them on a shelf as a trophy." Oliver says "Oh?" McKayla says.

"Okay, I'm sorry, but you have to agree. That just sounds ridiculous!" Chase says, he walks into the kitchen with McKayla and sits down next to her.

"Look, if Skylar's gonna be part of this team, then I have got to find a way to get her powers back." Chase says,McKayla holds a bag of peanuts which she begins to share with Chase.

"No. I have to be one to get her powers back." Oliver says "Why you? Is it written in some comic book or something?" McKayla giggles, Chase smirks "No...not yet" Oliver says.

"Why does it have to be you?" Chase asks "Because. Then she falls in love with me, then we get married, then we live our happy little superhero lives together forever in a space castle!" Oliver says, McKayla smiles.

"That's lovely, she'd be so lucky" McKayla says gently so as not to discourage him, Chase nods "You know, in your funny yet creepy little world, I believe that could happen." Chase says sarcastically.

"I've been trying to get back her powers for years. So far no luck." Oliver says upset "Aw "I'm sorry buddy" McKayla says, Chase stands up with a smug smile.

"Well, that's because you didn't have my vast scientific knowledge to help you, and now you do." Chase says confidently, McKayla raises her eyebrow "I love when he's cocky. Sometimes he's insecure but he knows how to be confident at the right times...I love that" McKayla thinks.

"I'll even give you all the credit so she thinks you're the hero." Chase tells Oliver "Aaww that's so cute" McKayla thinks "Thanks buddy. You're the best, you know one day I'll do something for you." Oliver accidentally fires his hydrokinesis at Chase's face.

McKayla gasps and laughs lightly "You could start by getting me a towel." Chase says annoyed "I'll go get one" Oliver leaves.

McKayla laughs covering her mouth, Chase looks at her slightly irritated "And what are you laughing at?" Chase asks, McKayla holds back her laughter biting her lip "Nothing" McKayla shrugs.
