Na-Rae's face flushed a deep shade of red as she processed Tae's words and the way he looked at her with that mischievous gleam in his eye. She quickly pushed away, her heart still racing from the kiss and his teasing.

"I... I need to go," she stammered, glancing around nervously as if someone might've seen them. Without waiting for a response, she turned and started to hurry off, her cheeks burning.

Just as she began to retreat, Jimin appeared from around the corner, noticing her flustered state with a raised eyebrow and a sly grin. "Well, well, Princess Na-Rae," he remarked, folding his arms. "What's got you running away all red-faced?"

Na-Rae didn't dare meet his gaze, mumbling a hurried excuse as she brushed past him, feeling both embarrassed and exhilarated.

Jimin turned to Tae with an amused smirk. "What happened here?"

Tae, still catching his breath and clearly enjoying himself, shot Jimin a smug grin. "She loves me."

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise before a playful smile crept onto his face. "Oh really? So, princess has finally admitted it?"

Tae nodded, satisfaction clear in his expression. "She finally did. Though, she might've needed a little... convincing."

Jimin chuckled, clapping a hand on Tae's shoulder. "Looks like you've finally made it."

As Na-Rae disappeared down the corridor, still tingling from the confession and the kiss, she could hear their laughter behind her, adding another layer of warmth to her already racing heart.

As evening descended, the palace bustled with preparations for the grand feast. Lanterns were lit, casting warm, flickering lights throughout the courtyards. Guards were positioned at every corner, vigilant and watchful. Among them few of the guards assigned to Ji Bu-In's chamber, stationed nearby, just as Jimin had instructed.

Jimin approached the front guards  casually, his expression calm yet purposeful. "The feast preparations are almost complete. Could you take a quick look inside to ensure everything is in order? They may need extra help with arrangements," he suggested.

One guard nodded, trusting Jimin's request, and left his post to assist inside. As soon as he turned the corner, Minho appeared, looking around furtively before breaking into a run, creating a commotion that drew attention. He dashed past Ji Bu-In's chamber, shouting, "Catch him! There's an intruder!" The remaining 2 guards immediately sprung into action, his instincts triggered, and chased after Minho.

With both guards distracted and out of sight, the path was now clear for Na-Rae and Tae to meet as planned. Tae slipped behind Ji Bu-In's chamber, finding Na-Rae already waiting in the shadows, her eyes sharp and focused on plan.

Meanwhile, Tae and Na-Rae circled around the back to check for any guards approaching from the other side. Moving stealthily, they peered into the shadowed corridors to confirm it was clear.

In the dim light, Tae paused, catching Na-Rae's hand to stop her. She looked at him with a questioning expression, but he simply gave her a mischievous smile.

"Tae," she whispered, "we need to focus."

"Who says I'm not focused?" he whispered back, stepping a bit closer. "I'm completely focused...on you."

Na-Rae rolled her eyes, trying to hide a smile. "Now's hardly the time," she murmured, glancing over her shoulder to keep watch.

He gently pulled her a little closer, lowering his voice. "You say that every time, but you never push me away." He gave her a soft, teasing smile as his thumb brushed lightly over her knuckles.

Na-Rae's cheeks warmed, but she shook her head. "When this is over, I'll have a word with you," she replied, though her voice held more affection than annoyance.

"When this is over, I'll give you more than just words," he said, a glint of mischief in his eyes as he leaned in, his gaze locked on hers.

Suddenly, a door creaked open noise caught their attention. They quickly shifted back to focus, casting a last shared glance before moving towards the chamber.
