Tae's playful demeanor shifted slightly as he glanced back at the guards, who were now more focused on the banter between him and Na-Rae than their surroundings.

Tae motioned to a small hole in the wall, barely noticeable, that allowed him to peek into the chamber. "Let's see how Jungkook is faring," he whispered, his curiosity piqued.

Na-Rae raised an eyebrow, suppressing a giggle. "You're not really going to eavesdrop, are you?"

With a grin, Tae shrugged, leaning closer to the hole, excitement bubbling in his chest. "Just a quick peek. I want to make sure he's not completely overwhelmed by the moment."

Inside Ji Bu-In's Chambers

Meanwhile, Jungkook remained at Mi-Rae's side, relief washing over him as he watched her awaken. Her eyes slowly adjusted to the dim light, and she took a moment to recognize her surroundings before locking eyes with him.

Jungkook: "I won't leave you. No matter what happens, I'll stay right here."

Hours passed, and the room remained quiet, the only sound being Jungkook's whispered reassurances.

Suddenly, Mi-Rae began to stir, her eyelids fluttering as she fought to awaken from the darkness.

Jungkook: "Mi-Rae? Mi-Rae, can you hear me?" He leaned closer, his heart pounding with hope.

Her eyes opened slowly, confusion clouding her gaze at first.

Mi-Rae: "kook?" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jungkook's heart soared. "Yes! I'm here. You're safe now."

As if in instinct, Mi-Rae got up and hugged Jungkook tightly. He hugged her back, feeling her warmth wash over him.

Outside the Chambers

Meanwhile, Tae and Na-Rae peeked through the hole, their eyes wide in surprise as they witnessed the tender moment unfolding inside.

Jungkook leaned in and kissed Mi-Rae on the lips, a gentle kiss filled with relief and longing. To his delight, Mi-Rae kissed him back.

Na-Rae felt her cheeks flush, shyly turning her gaze away as she caught Tae looking at her. Their eyes locked, and Na-Rae's heart raced at the connection.

Tae and Na-Rae exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of concern and determination. Tae stepped closer to Na-Rae, sensing her hesitation.

"Minion," he said softly, trying to bridge the distance. But as he reached out to hold her hand, she instinctively stepped back, her heart racing.

Back Inside the Chamber

Mi-Rae blinked, focusing on Jungkook. "What happened? Where...?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion.

"What happened to you, babe?" Jungkook questioned, concern etching his features.

Mi-Rae took a deep breath, her mind swirling with memories. "I got a call from my father... when I arrived home, the place was in a mess. I realized my uncle was there." Her voice trembled as she recounted the flashback. "I went into my father's bedroom, and he told me to run. At first, I didn't understand, but then I started running. I could hear cars following me, and then... one of them hit me. I felt unconscious and didn't know what happened after that."

Jungkook pulled her into a tight hug, his heart aching for her. "I'm so sorry, babe. I shouldn't have left you..." Tears welled in his eyes as he held her close, wishing he could erase the pain she'd endured.

then they heard the guards talking a little louder, breaking the moment of intimacy between Jungkook and Mi-Rae. They instinctively broke their kiss, anxiety settling in as they realized time was running short.

A knock on the door interrupted their thoughts, and Soojin entered, urgency in her tone. "We need to move! Ji Bu-In is coming back!"

Tae and Na-Rae rushed to join Jungkook, who was still unwilling to leave Mi-Rae behind.

"I'm not coming without her," he declared, his voice firm and determined.

Tae placed a reassuring hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "Everything has its right time. I promise we will get her out."

Jungkook looked at Mi-Rae, leaning in to peck her lips softly. "Babe, I will get you out of here no matter what," I promise," he whispered, his heart aching at the thought of leaving her behind.

Mi-Rae nodded slightly, her expression resolute. She lay back down and closed her eyes, letting her body go limp as if still unconscious, preparing for the inevitable encounter with Ji Bu-In.
