106 || a weasley christmas

Christmas Day rolled around quickly. After the night Alexis Lore visited, Adelaide only had to explain why she had a bloody nose. Given her track record, Regulus and Sirius believed her when she said she fell down the stairs.

A new stunning bit of information, Harry's suspicions of Draco being a Death Eater (which were true), had now progressed to him believing Adelaide was part of the whole thing. According to Sirius, Harry had overheard Adelaide with Snape and Draco on the night of Slughorn's party (this was also true), and assuming that it had to do with being a Death Eater, he had accused Adelaide. Sirius convinced him that Adelaide was only supporting Draco while Snape was apprehending him, and Adelaide told her father and uncle that that was true. She claimed that she followed after them, and caught Snape being rather aggressive to her cousin.

And now she was sitting on Harry's bed at the burrow talking to him.

"I saw you go in with Snape and I heard what they were saying," Harry stated.

Adelaide sighed, "Look, I know you and Draco have your differences, but he is my cousin. I've known him since I was born, and I'll always defend my family. What you heard from Snape were senseless accusations. He's always a git, and I don't stand for it, you know that."

Harry seemed to back down, "I still don't believe that Draco's not suspicious."

"Okay, I'll accept that. But maybe next time you try and throw someone under the bus, get some evidence first," Adelaide smiled, "I had the time of my life talking to Sirius and Reg about this whole thing."

"Sorry," Harry muttered, "I'm just cautious."

Adelaide took his hand, "I know. I am too. Look, can we not talk about Voldemort and Death Eaters and just enjoy Christmas."

He nodded, "We're finally away from Hogwarts."

"Yes, we are," She moved into him, putting her hands on his shoulders, "Everyone's downstairs."

"They are," Harry placed his hands on her waist, pulling her close to him, "We're alone."

Adelaide wasted no time and put her lips to his, it had been way too long. She pushed Harry down on the bed, so she was on top, running her hand through his hair as he smiled into their kiss, "I missed you." He muttered, before holding her face, "So much."

"Then shut up and kiss me," Adelaide whispered, and Harry pushed her to the side, so he was towering over her. As he placed his lips to her neck, there were two raps at the door.

"Harry, mate," Ron announced, "Mum says food's ready. You two finished talking?"

The boy groaned, "Yeah, we're done. Be down in a second."

Adelaide let her head fall back, "Maybe you could come round to mine? We can finish this off."

"I'd like that," Harry said, "By the way, Romilda Vane is trying to give me a love potion." Harry did not know why he said that.

"What?" Adelaide stared, "What the fuck?"

He smiled sheepishly, "But don't worry, no love potion can change my mind from you."

She squinted her eyes, "We're talking about this later, Potter." Adelaide left the room and joined the others downstairs, "Fleur, I've missed you so much. And I can't believe you didn't tell me you were getting married to Bill Weasley."

Fleur smiled, "It's exciting, I love 'im so much." She then took a closer look at Adelaide, "You 'ave been kissing, Harry."

"What?"
