Chapter 7: "Sign In"

Late at night, Sheng Wang was lying in bed, feeling pretty annoyed. Jiang Tian and his mom had just moved into the room next door, and the noise from their moving in was getting on his nerves.

He picked up his phone and texted his friend wayu . "I can't believe they moved in next door. The noise is driving me nuts."

Wayu quickly replied, "Oh man, Payag ka ba ng ganoon? Ang gawin mo ay mag ingay ka din, para makaganti ka sa kanila. Ok ba suggestion ko? "

Sheng Wang laughed a little, despite his frustration. "If only it were that easy. For now, I'm just going to try to ignore them."

Later that night, Sheng Wang overheard his dad and Jiang Tian's mom talking outside his room. They were whispering, and it sounded like they didn't want to wake him up.

"It's been an hour. He must be asleep," Sheng Mingyang said.

"Let's head out then," Aunt jiang '' lea '' agreed.

Feeling a bit left out, Sheng Wang tried to settle down. The thought of sharing a wall with Jiang Tian made him feel more disconnected.

The next morning, Sheng Wang was surprised to see Jiang Tian already up and heading out early. When he got to school, he found a sticky note on his desk with a solution to a tricky physics problem he'd been struggling with.

It read: "Next time, don't talk too much." Naka sulat sa sticky note.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit napangiti ako sa sulat nito. Despite the rocky start, Jiang Tian's small gesture made him feel a bit better. It was clear that Jiang Tian had a thoughtful side, even if he didn't always show it. Sheng Wang felt a little less frustrated and a little more curious about his new neighbor.
