A Certain Someone
Chapter 110: Hometown

On the 24th, Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian boarded an early morning flight, the crisp winter air adding a touch of excitement to their return. As they landed, they were greeted by a message from Clark: he had another meal planned for the day and instructed them to settle in and rest, with the New Year's Eve dinner already booked.

Clark had always been a stickler for tradition, and it was clear that this year's surprise dinner was meant to cover up his true feelings. He was eager to see Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian, yet couldn't quite shake his pride.

Despite his efforts to maintain his composure, Clark's genuine emotions were betrayed by the hurried arrangements. The small building on Makati was a silent witness to many gatherings and farewells over the years. As Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian walked up to the entrance, Clark's internal struggle was evident.

Sheng Wang, fully aware of the unspoken tension, simply accepted the restaurant details Clark had sent without calling him out. After all, he knew that behind the facade of nonchalance was a father deeply longing for his son's presence.

While waiting for their luggage, Sheng Wang's phone rang. Jiang Tian, overhearing the conversation, inquired, "Who's calling?"

"Uncle day," Sheng Wang replied.

Jiang Tian paused, a hint of nostalgia crossing his face. It had been a while since he heard that name. Sheng Wang noticed his reaction and snapped his fingers in front of Jiang Tian's face. "Welcome back to the present."

Jiang Tian smirked and swatted his hand away. "Is he already here?"

"Yep," Sheng Wang confirmed, leading Jiang Tian toward the escalator. "No need to check the signs. Just follow me."

At the airport, Sheng Wang was in his element, navigating with the ease of someone who had spent countless hours here. He boasted, "You know, I could be your personal navigator for free."

Jiang Tian skeptically replied, "Free services often come with issues. Baka maligaw pa tayo."

"hahah,nakakatawa." Sheng Wang laughed,

"You could always pay me if you're not satisfied."

Jiang Tian pulled out his phone, teasing,

"Show me your worth first."

"hmp. Doon ka sa far away, wag mo ako hawakan sa kamay..o sige tanungin mo ako. " Sheng Wang said, confident.

Jiang Tian tested him. "Where's Dave?"

Sheng Wang's face fell. "Okay, maybe I'm not the best navigator after all."

As they battled through the crowded parking lot, Sheng Wang's phone was ringing off the hook. His calls with Uncle Chen were a comedic exchange of directions and confusion. Finally, Uncle Chen gave the simplest instruction: "Just follow the white car with double flashes."
