Chapter 39: Brother

"Where's my phone?" ben's eyes darted around his empty hand.

"Uh-oh," Sheng Wang muttered, looking concerned.

"'kyle's out for blood, and he's not picky about who he catches," ben said, patting his pockets nervously. "Were you chatting with Brother tian?"

Sheng Wang's eyes widened. "Oh no! I need to go!" He dashed off towards the classroom.

The corridor was bustling with students, chatting and laughing. Sheng Wang maneuvered through the crowd, narrowly avoiding a collision. He turned into the flower bed area to cut through, his school jacket flapping in the wind.

Ben , not far behind, shouted, " Hurry!"

As a known athlete, Ben had no trouble keeping up. He reached the Mingdao Building just in time to see Sheng Wang turn the corner on the second floor.

"Who saw you?" Ben gasped, catching up. "Is it Brother tian?"

"Yes," Sheng Wang panted, sweat glistening on his forehead. "kyle's gonna come down hard on us!"

In the classroom, Jiang Tian glanced at his facebook as Sheng Wang burst through the door, breathless and flustered.

"Has Big Mouth been here?" Sheng Wang asked, leaning heavily on the table.

"No, why?" Jiang Tian looked puzzled.

Gao Tianyang burst in, "kyle's on the hunt. Your phone's at risk!"

Jiang Tian's eyes widened. "Yours is taken?"

Sheng Wang nodded, looking relieved yet exhausted. He accepted a bottle of water from Jiang Tian gratefully, gulping it down.

"Thanks," Sheng Wang mumbled, feeling his energy return. "akala ko katapusan ko na kanina..."

The students in the class were in a frenzy as the bell rang. dave burst in, "kyle's confiscating phones like crazy! He's got a metal detector!"

A collective gasp filled the room. "We need to hide our phones!" students shouted.

"Quick, to the toilet!" someone suggested, but Sheng Wang had a better idea.

He grabbed his bag, held it open to Jiang Tian, and said, "Throw your phones in here. We'll hide them."

Jiang Tian swiftly took off his jacket, rolled it up, and stuffed it into Sheng Wang's bag along with his phone. More students rushed over, shoving their phones into the bag.

Sheng Wang, with the bag now bulging, went to the window and tossed it out onto the soft grass below.

When kyle entered with his detector, he found nothing in Class A. Frustrated, he grumbled and left the room, only to be met by liza, who sent him away with a few words of advice.

The classroom erupted in laughter as liza praised them for their cleverness.

Jiang Tian looked at Sheng Wang, who was grinning widely. "Am I smart or what?" Sheng Wang asked.

"Not too smart," Jiang Tian replied with a smirk.

Sheng Wang laughed, his eyes twinkling. "You're just saying that because you're jealous."

As class ended, Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian retrieved the phones from the flower bed. Sheng Wang's phone had survived the ordeal.

Later, at the school gate, Sheng Wang was surprised to see his father, and Aunt Lea waiting. "Dad, I thought you were flying to taiwan!"

Clark smiled, "We rescheduled to spend time with you. Plus, lea insisted we come."

Lea added warmly, "We thought we'd help out with your dorm move."

As they moved into the dorm, clark and lea noticed the curious looks from other students. Clark, slightly amused, asked, "Why is everyone staring at us?"

"They think you're handsome," Sheng Wang teased, making his father chuckle.

Inside the dorm, Clark noted the empty beds and suggested, "Jiang Tian should take the lower bunk., sheng ikaw dito sa itaas na higaan."

"I'm fine with anything," Jiang Tian said.

Sheng Wang grinned. "Yeah, I'm the taller one anyway."

Jiang Tian shook his head, "sus, 5'5 is just perfect." His referring to sheng wang. Jiang tian is 5'7.

The family helped set up, and Sheng Wang was touched by their effort. "Thanks for coming dad at aunt lea," he said to lea and his father.

"No problem, I just wanted to make sure you're well taken care of," lea said, giving him a gentle smile.
