A Certain Someone: Chapter 48 - Exchange

Ang Magpie Bridge ay parang maze ng mga cobblestone na daan, balot ng mga baging na nagbibigay dito ng romantic vibe, kaya paborito ito ng mga magkasintahan sa campus. Habang naglalakad sina Sheng Wang at Jiang Tian, parehong nagmamadali silang makalayo para hindi mapansin ng mga guwardiya.

Habang papalayo sila sa lugar, napansin ni Sheng Wang ang isang pamilyar na striped na T-shirt sa malayo, suot ng isang batang lalaki na may kasamang iba. Pero binalewala niya ito at binalik ang atensyon sa katahimikan nilang dalawa. Medyo awkward, pero may kakaibang kilig, at parang pareho silang nagaalangan kung sino ang unang magsasalita.

Sarah's eyes narrowed playfully. "Don't start with me sheng. And you two, get going. Study a bit before it gets too late."

Jiang Tian nodded. "Yes, Teacher!"

As they walked away, Sheng Wang tried to lighten the mood. "I bet , maam sarah is secretly shy. That's why she gets flustered."

Sarah voice rang out behind them. " ano yang pinag chichismisan niyo?"

Sheng Wang tried to make a quick escape but ended up hopping on one foot as his ankle throbbed. Jiang Tian suppressed a laugh, helping him along.

The sight of Sheng Wang hopping and Jiang Tian's restrained amusement was oddly endearing. Sheng Wang laughed until he was practically doubled over. "Why do you find me so amusing?"

Jiang Tian's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Who knows? Maybe it's nice to see you so animated."

The two of them continued laughing until they reached a quieter spot. Jiang Tian, still holding back his laughter, turned to Sheng Wang. "tapos kanang tumawa?"

Sheng Wang blinked, distracted. "Huh?"

Jiang Tian extended his hand. "Let's head back to the dorm."

Sheng Wang took his hand, feeling the warmth and strength in Jiang Tian's grip. As they walked together, Sheng Wang appreciated these small, intimate moments. It was nice to have Jiang Tian's steady presence.

Once they reached the dormitory, they were greeted by pete. "You're back! We missed you," he said with a smile.

Sheng Wang grinned. "You missed us? Not disturbing your peace?"

Pete hastily added, "No, no! We're glad you're back. And Suyu was looking for you."

Biglang lumitaw si SuYu, mukhang nagulat. "Sheng Wang, ikaw ba 'yan? Nakita ko kanina yung isang naka-striped na T-shirt..."

Natawa si Sheng Wang. "Oo, baka nga ikaw 'yun."

SuYu's face turned bright red. "Oh, um, I was just taking a walk."

Sheng Wang quickly reassured him, "No worries, I was just curious."

SuYu, now flustered, hurried to the bathroom. Pete, ever observant, commented, "Brother Sheng, remember, romance can be distracting."

Sheng Wang laughed. "Indeed. But it's all part of life."

As Sheng Wang settled into his bed, Jiang Tian was busy rearranging things to make sure Sheng Wang was comfortable. "You really don't have to do all this," Sheng Wang protested.

Jiang Tian's expression was serious but kind. "It's not negotiable. Just rest."

That night, Sheng Wang found himself unable to sleep. The day's events replayed in his mind, and despite his aching ankle, he felt a deep sense of contentment. Jiang Tian's thoughtful gestures had made him realize how much he cherished their moments together.
