A Certain Someone
Chapter 60: Shake

He leaned back in his chair and extended his hand behind him, hoping for a refill. "Anyone got a spare refill?" he asked casually.

SuYu, glancing up from his own work, frowned in confusion. "Need something?"

Sheng Wang's smile was quick but slightly embarrassed. "Never mind. I was just asking."

SuYu shrugged and went back to his notes, while Sheng Wang gave up on his request and turned his attention back to his assignment. He couldn't help but feel a pang of homesickness. The classroom, the rain, even the endless stream of schoolwork seemed to blend into a gray blur.

Time seemed to crawl until the bell rang. Sheng Wang quickly grabbed an almost-unused umbrella from his bag and dashed to a convenience store, the downpour soaking his trousers.

Boss Ryan eyed him with a mix of curiosity and concern as Sheng Wang piled up refills, rulers, and sticky notes. "Planning to open a supply store?"

Sheng Wang laughed, brushing off the question. "Just stocking up. I tend to lose things."

Boss Ryan shook his head, bemused. "Well, remember to use the sticky notes to remind yourself not to lose your stuff."

With a chuckle, Sheng Wang paid and headed back to school, navigating the rain with renewed determination. But fate had other plans. He accidentally ended up on the wrong floor and spotted Jiang Tian, who was delivering papers.

Jiang Tian, noticing Sheng Wang's disheveled state, raised an eyebrow. "Lost your way?"

Sheng Wang chuckled awkwardly, glancing down at the bag of supplies. "Uh, yeah. Wrong floor. I'll get it right next time."

Jiang Tian studied him for a moment, the corner of his mouth twitching in amusement. "Need any help?"

"No, I'm good," Sheng Wang said, shaking his head. "Just a little mix-up."

Sheng Wang shrugged, his tone light. "Just wanted to be prepared. The rain's been a bit of a hassle."

SuYu chuckled, shaking his head. "You're something else."

As the class resumed, Sheng Wang found himself feeling a little better. The rain continued to patter against the window, but at least he had everything he needed. Despite the mix-up and the small moment of awkwardness, he was starting to feel more at home in Class B.

The thought of Jiang Tian lingered with Sheng Wang, bringing a small smile to his face. As he glanced out at the rain, he remembered their brief interaction and felt a bit of warmth inside.

"Hey," SuYu called from across the room, noticing Sheng Wang's smile. "What's got you in a good mood?"

Sheng Wang shrugged, trying to hide his grin. "Just thinking about something nice."

SuYu raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Got a secret?"

Sheng Wang chuckled softly. "Just a little moment with someone special."

SuYu's eyes twinkled with curiosity. "Well, I hope that someone knows how lucky they are."

Sheng Wang nodded, his smile widening. "Yeah, me too. It's nice to have moments like these."

As he returned to his work, the rain outside seemed a bit lighter, and Sheng Wang felt hopeful. Maybe, just maybe, things were looking up, one sweet moment at a time.
