A Certain Someone: Chapter 21 - Wrong Question Set
Sheng Wang was deep in thought, trying to figure out what time Jiang Tian went to bed. The question seemed simple enough, but the answer he received was anything but. Just as he was processing the unexpected response, there was a knock on the door.
He shuffled over in his slippers and opened it to find Jiang Tian standing there, juggling a loose-leaf book and a phone. Jiang Tian didn't even look around; he walked straight in and headed for the desk, typing away on his phone.
"Late night, huh?" Sheng Wang said, following him. He couldn't help but notice how effortlessly Jiang Tian seemed to manage everything.
Jiang Tian glanced at the clock and then at Sheng Wang. "It's past two. What's up?"
Sheng Wang scratched his head. " hindi ko kasi maintindihan itong mga questions. Can you help?"
Jiang Tian didn't hesitate. "Sure. Let's see what you've got."
He sat down, picked up the book, and started flipping through the pages. "Where's the problem?"
Sheng Wang sighed. "I just don't get these questions. And it's been a long night."
Jiang Tian's eyes sparkled with a hint of amusement. "Okay, let me simplify it for you."
He swiftly marked the key questions and crossed out others. "Focus on these," he said, pointing to the marked sections. "The rest isn't as important."
Sheng Wang watched in awe. "Wow, you're a lifesaver. But I have to ask—"
Jiang Tian raised an eyebrow. "What?"
" pwede lumayo ka onti. Ang lapit ng mukha mo sa pisngi ko. Baka magkapalit tayo ng mukha. '' Sheng Wang asked with a smirk.
Jiang Tian chuckled, pulling the book away slightly. " Why? Ang arte mo naman."
"basta. ," Sheng Wang said, reaching for the book. "You know, you're kind of like a study superhero."
Jiang Tian laughed. "Alright, but remember, no superpowers on the exam."
As Jiang Tian prepared to leave, Sheng Wang quickly sent a "thank you" text. Exhausted, he collapsed into bed, his phone vibrating beside him as he fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Sheng Wang stumbled downstairs for breakfast. Aunt lea was busy in the kitchen, preparing porridge.
"Where's Jiang Tian?" she asked, noticing his absence.
Sheng Wang shrugged. "I didn't see him this morning."
Just then, Jiang Tian appeared, looking a bit disheveled but otherwise fine. Sheng Wang smiled, relieved that he didn't have to explain their late-night study session.
At school, Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian were assigned seats in the back row. As they entered the classroom, a student at table 40 spotted Jiang Tian's seat and eagerly said, "Can I touch it for good luck?"
Jiang Tian gave him a cool glance, and the student quickly retracted his hand.
Ben , ever the prankster, nudged Sheng Wang. "Touch it! Maybe it'll bring you some good vibes."
Sheng Wang, feeling playful, touched the seat and then quickly moved away, grinning at Jiang Tian's unreadable expression. Ben laughed, "You should have seen kyle's face!"
During class, Sheng Wang overheard some gossip about his transfer from Class A. Ignoring the whispers, he focused on settling into his new class.
Recognizing him, two girls from Class A warned him about troublemakers. Sheng Wang played along, smiling as they chatted.
A boy from class entered, carrying Sheng Wang's misplaced loose-leaf book. "Jiang Tian asked me to return this. Nahulog ito sa bag niya."
Sheng Wang took the book, confused. "How did it end up with him?"
The classroom buzzed with curiosity as Sheng Wang flipped through the book, smiling at the strange but friendly turn of events.
