Chapter 75: Surprise

Jiang Tian was gazing at his fingers, absently fiddling with them. After a moment of silence, he looked up at Sheng Wang, who was resting his head against the wall.

"Why do you ask this?" Jiang Tian finally broke the quiet.

Sheng Wang raised his chin, staring at the floating dust particles in the sunlight. "I don't know. I just feel... a bit lost. It's like I'm floating, unable to reach either end. It's weird, don't you think?"

"Are you unhappy?" Jiang Tian asked softly.

"No," Sheng Wang shook his head. "I'm very happy. Actually, I'm really happy."

"That's good," Jiang Tian replied, his voice carrying a hint of relief.

Sheng Wang realized that Jiang Tian's "That's good" had been a subtle reassurance. He understood now why he had felt a sense of suspension—his worries about the relationship's progress and Jiang Tian's feelings.

Jiang Tian, with a playful glint in his eye, counted off the same moments. "The note name, the birthday, the wine, the photos—those are all true. But the kissing?"

Sheng Wang's eyes twinkled with mischief. "yung halik mo..."

Jiang Tian glanced away, then back at Sheng Wang. "Not really."

Maaari ba nating baguhin iyon in private?"

Jiang Tian looked at Sheng Wang, puzzled. "Change to what?"

"When it's just us," Sheng Wang clarified, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Can I call you my boyfriend?"

Jiang Tian leaned against the wall, his eyes softening. "If you say no, I'll keep talking and kissing until you say yes."

Jiang Tian chuckled, a slight blush creeping into his cheeks. "hindi na yan Gagana sa akin..."

Sheng Wang's eyes sparkled with determination as he leaned in for a kiss. Jiang Tian, initially hesitant, found himself slowly giving in, the kiss turning tender and lingering.

Eventually, Jiang Tian pulled back, breathless. "You really want to make me say yes, don't you?"

"Of course," Sheng Wang said, smiling triumphantly.

"And now it's time to celebrate."

They continued their playful, affectionate kissing, with Sheng Wang trying to steal every possible kiss. Eventually, Jiang Tian's restraint gave way, and he responded with equal fervor.

The next morning, both were afflicted with colds, their voices hoarse and their noses red. Despite their discomfort, they took it in stride, joking about their mutual "contagion" and enduring a week of ups and downs in their PK scores.

Nikko observed their fluctuating scores with mixed feelings, but Sheng Wang, ever the optimist, shrugged it off. "There will be gains and losses. Just reminds me to work harder for the finals."

As the training camp concluded, Sheng Wang took time to visit a familiar spot. The store he had frequented was newly renovated. He printed a group photo he had taken and prepared a special album with it.

He turned to Jiang Tian, holding the photo. "Did you write the year on it?"

"Printed it," Jiang Tian replied, noticing Sheng Wang's thoughtful expression.

"What if I wanted to write something else, kahit ano?" Sheng Wang asked.

Jiang Tian pondered, then said, "You could write on the back."

Sheng Wang nodded, writing on the back of the photo: "Me" and "I like you."

As Jiang Tian watched him, he felt a deep sense of clarity. All his previous hesitations and struggles seemed trivial now. He realized he was 17, full of potential, and free to embrace his feelings.

Their bond was no longer something to be carefully managed—it was something to be celebrated with the same youthful joy and passion.
