A Certain Someone
Chapter 105: Hangover

By the time they staggered out of the restaurant, Dave was swearing to the heavens that he never wanted to see them again, as he reeled from his drunken state. Ben, from a distance, shot back with a mock challenge, "Think you're so tough? Wait until the high school reunion!"

Dave's eyes widened in mock terror. "You'd better be a ghost by then!"

Laughter erupted around the table, even as Ben threw a chicken wing bone in Dave's direction—missing him by a mile. Sheng Wang swiftly intercepted, brandishing the menu like a shield.

"You're all a bunch of troublemakers," Sheng Wang said, his voice carrying a note of playful exasperation. He turned to Jiang Tian, who was lazily reclining in his chair, his eyes half-closed with the aftereffects of the night. "Looks like you're in charge now."

Jiang Tian, barely awake, responded with a sluggish "Can't handle it."

The group's chatter gradually dwindled, and by 11 o'clock, they finally called it a night. Sheng Wang dropped off Dave and his friends at their hotel before heading towards the school. On the way, he made a quick detour into a supermarket. His eyes scanned the shelves before landing on a jar of honey. He grabbed it, but his gaze lingered on a few intriguing items next to the cashier.

"Is your honey gone?" Sheng Wang muttered to himself, before grabbing the additional items, feeling a bit sheepish. Just as he approached the cashier, Jiang Tian, who had been asleep in the car, stirred and looked around groggily.

Sheng Wang slipped the items into a bag and returned to the car. "Why are you awake?" he asked as he slid into the driver's seat.

Jiang Tian glanced at the white bag in the back seat, his curiosity piqued. "What did you buy?"

"Honey," Sheng Wang replied firmly, though his cheeks turned a bit pink.

Back at the apartment, Sheng Wang set Jiang Tian down on the sofa and hurried into the kitchen. He opened the bag, his gaze darting to the two items he'd bought impulsively. He quickly stashed them away in a rarely used drawer and started boiling water.

As the kettle hissed, Sheng Wang felt Jiang Tian's presence behind him. Turning around, he saw Jiang Tian leaning against the kitchen door, watching him with half-lidded eyes. The sight was both endearing and slightly unsettling.

"Brother?" Sheng Wang called, reaching for a cup.

"Hmm?" Jiang Tian's voice was soft, and he moved closer, hugging Sheng Wang from behind. The embrace was gentle but firm, his breath warm against Sheng Wang's neck.

Sheng Wang felt a shiver run down his spine. "I'm making honey water to help with the hangover," he said, trying to focus on the task at hand.

"I see." Jiang Tian murmured, his voice laden with a hint of mischief. He nuzzled closer, his breath tickling Sheng Wang's ear. "What else did you buy?"

Sheng Wang hesitated. "Just honey."

"Really?" Jiang Tian's voice was almost a purr, and he began tracing his fingers lightly along Sheng Wang's arm.

The touch was electrifying, and Sheng Wang found himself struggling to maintain his composure. He glanced back at Jiang Tian, who looked too relaxed for his own good. "Stop," Sheng Wang murmured, his voice wavering. "You're distracting me."

Jiang Tian didn't move, instead leaning in closer. "Why?"

Sheng Wang bit his lip, trying to stave off the overwhelming urge to react. Just as he was about to speak, Jiang Tian's lips brushed against his neck, his fingers slipping lower. Sheng Wang's breath hitched, and he turned his head to capture Jiang Tian's lips in a heated kiss.
