Chapter 87: Winter Vacation

As winter vacation began, Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian faced the usual end-of-semester chaos. The cold weather and falling snow were a welcome change, but also a reminder of the challenges ahead.

Clark, while helping Lea clear the table after dinner, asked, "So, how are you two getting home tonight?"

"I'm staying at school," Sheng Wang replied, shaking his head. "We have leave for evening self-study but need to skip Wan's nightly sleep check."

Clark chuckled. "Well, after the exam, you should get some rest."

"I will," Sheng Wang promised, though he looked tired.

As Clark glanced at Sheng Wang, now taller and grown-up, he couldn't help but remember when Sheng Wang was much smaller. A pat on the head had once been so easy.

Jiang Tian's eyes softened. "And?"

"She's supportive. She said she didn't tell anyone and reassured me."

Jiang Tian took Sheng Wang's cold hand in his warm one, giving it a comforting squeeze. "I'm glad. We're lucky to have friends like her."

Sheng Wang smiled, feeling the warmth from Jiang Tian's touch. "Yeah, we are."

As they walked together, Ben and his friend Dave approached. " Brother Tian! You two still studying in the stairwell?" Ben asked, joining them with a grin.

"Yep," Jiang Tian replied. "It's quieter here."

Ben and Dave sat down, Ben teasing, "So, Jiang Tian, any big plans for the winter vacation?"

Jiang Tian glanced at Sheng Wang, his eyes meeting Sheng Wang's. "Just spending time with someone special."

Pepper, who had been quietly sitting nearby, looked up. She had been struggling with her own feelings but felt reassured by the support from her friends.
