Chapter 30: Close

The classroom buzzed with the excitement of a new semester, but jr was notably absent. By the end of the big class break, he still hadn't shown up.

Andy returned from a meeting, her notebook in hand. "Hey, ben ," she said,

"we discussed accommodations and changes to our evening study schedule. Also, the city's top three list is coming out soon."

Ben grinned. "Great! With at least two of us in the top three, I'm feeling honored!"

Liza rolled her eyes. "Seriously? How can anyone be so shameless?"

Ben shot her a playful look. "Hey, don't be jealous!"

At that moment, Sheng Wang arrived and gently pressed ben's thumb back down. "Cut it out, will you? My future's still up in the air."

Ben chuckled. "Don't be modest. Even with a hiccup in your English score, you're bound to make it."

Sheng Wang was about to argue when liza approached with a form. "Sheng Wang, here's the application for accommodation. Just fill in your details."

"Thanks," Sheng Wang said, taking the form with a smile.

Just then, Jiang Tian leaned over and asked, "You planning to apply for accommodation?"

Sheng Wang hesitated. "Not sure. Just asked out of curiosity."

Jiang Tian watched him with a thoughtful expression, then threw down his pen with a snap. liza, sensing the tension, quietly slid a second form to Jiang Tian. "Jiang Tian, you asked me about this before. Fill it out if you're interested."

Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang both glanced at her before she quickly walked away. Sheng Wang broke the silence, "You thinking of filling out the form?"

Jiang Tian picked up his pen. "Might still consider it."

Sheng Wang smirked. "You know, we're both acting like we're in a drama."

Jiang Tian's lips twitched into a smile. "Guess we are."

Ben , noticing their amusement, raised an eyebrow. "What's going on back there?"

"Nothing," Jiang Tian said, turning his attention back to Sheng Wang. "Let's just say we're having a moment." He shrugged and sat back down, feeling a bit left out. "Whatever, you guys are weird."

As the class meeting continued, , the class president, took the stage and noticed the class's low energy. "Come on, everyone! It's just the beginning of the semester. Let's show some enthusiasm!"

The room stirred with renewed energy as He Jin outlined the upcoming competitions and training. "Remember, the second prize is the minimum threshold for early admissions. Aim high!"

The students, including Sheng Wang, listened intently. "And don't forget, all members must participate in the competitions."

The meeting wrapped up with He Jin announcing the city's top three list. Students cast their votes, with kyle managing to secure a spot thanks to a bit of sympathy voting.

Kyle , now on stage, gave a nervous grin. "Thanks for this opportunity. I didn't expect it, but I'm grateful."

He looked around the classroom, noticing Sheng Wang's detached expression and Jiang Tian's indifferent gaze.
